tummy tuck

Is anyone planning to get the tummy tuck done? I'm going for a contour next week even though it won't be done for a while. I just need to see what a difference it will make without the flab. I walk but my inner thighs are waving in the wind even more than pre-op. And my tricep area, I don't even want to talk about it..........................Shana

My insurance will pay for one, so I know I'll be looking into it next year!

I found out recently that TRICARE does not pay for tummy tucks any more, unless you have a hernia or have a problem with the skin rashes under the loose skin. So far I have had no problems, so I am looking at having to pay for the tummy tuck myself. Does anyone have any clue what the price range would be for a tummy tuck with skin removal??

I am a state employee so my insurance pretty much covers almost eveything right now. One of the hospitals here is a teaching hospital so they only charge about $4500 for the tummy tuck. I was very skeptical just because it is a (TEACHING) hospital but boy when I saw the outcome of some of my fellow employees there was no way I was going to let this get by. They are supposed to raise the cost in the summer so as long as I have my consultation papers i'll still get the lower cost when I reach my goal weight from the RNY surgery. Hope you find a way.
