Long overdue update
Hi everyone,
I've been bad about checking in - I have all the good excuses about my busy schedule etc. Biggest update: I'm out of the 200s! This morning's weight was 198.5. The last dozen or so pounds have come off effortlessly, as I've been sick. First, it was an ear infection and respiratory infection, and a temperature up to 103. I haven't been so sick in years, maybe decades. I was out of town on vacation, so went to an urgent care center and they prescribed a Z-Pak. Unfortunately, the infection has rebounded and I'm sick again, this time it's bronchitis and a nasty sinus infection, and a stronger antibiotic. And NO appetite whatsoever. The down side is, I am not getting the protein or fluids I should. I am trying, though, and hope to get back on track with proper nutrition shortly.
I feel like I have been sick a lot this fall and winter; has anyone else felt that their immune system is not functioning as well as usual?
I am gearing up for an exciting trip, traveling to France for a month. My 4 year old twins are coming with me, and my husband will join us for the last 10 days. My mother will also join us for a week mid-way. This is a huge adventure, and it's so much easier to travel now that I fit more easily into the world around me. We leave a week from Tuesday. I have to do some clothes shopping between now and then; most of my clothes are way too big.

Hi Leslie,
We're spending most of our time in Southern France. First a few days in Nice, then 2 weeks near Perpignan, followed by 10 days near Nimes, then a few days in Paris. Incredible luck, I've got 3 different friends who are going to be in France in April, and we've arranged to get together for meals or sight-seeing.
I'm sorry you didn't enjoy Paris that much; I adore it, I lived in a suburb of Paris for a year when I was in my early 20s and it was a life changing experience. But really, I like all of France, it's a remarkable place with an incredibly rich history. I am sure that is true of so many places in the world, France just happens to be the country I've gotten to know best.
Best wishes to you,
Sheryl
