What foods can you eat?
Deb, Is this because of the gallbladder surgery??? Right now I can't even eat anything solid besides crackers, cheese, and peanut butter and fruit. I have gone from 199 on Monday to 194 today. That is 5 lbs in 2 days.
I am hoping after this is done I can eat, but It looks like I wont.

Deb,
I havent' been able to eat scrambled eggs in any form since surgery. I've pureed them, I've scrambled them "wet", "dry", omelettes - no blinkin' way can I keep scrambled eggs down.
I can eat poached eggs, fried eggs, hard boiled eggs and egg beaters. Remember, the protein of the egg is in the white, not the yolk. Try the egg beater. They're colored egg whites and you can add cheese. They are not bad, really.
I have trouble eating any kind of wrap or tortilla or egg roll wrapper. They sit like boulders in my stomach. I think that's never going to change for me.
I throw up Jello every time I eat it. I have no clue why, but I can't stomach it at all.
Don't get discouraged, just move on to something you CAN eat.
Cheryl
Deb I still have no interest in most foods. Sometimes I try to eat and after a bite or two I just know it's pointless so I toss it in the garbage!
What I CAN eat (what appeals) is probably an easier list!
I still can't stand eggs, they make my stomach and my mouth feel weird. Beef also doesn't agree with me, unless it's ground up like chilli, but I got tried of eating that too. All I was eating for a while was tuna, lettuce, tomato, nuts, cheese, berries, crab, shrimp, peanut butter, soup and crackers, but I'm getting kind of tired of all of it and soup has too much salt and carbs so I avoid them for the most part!
I still do 2 protein shakes a day to keep my protein up. I also found these Low carb yogurt smoothies at Walmart by Blue Bunny that have 13 grams of protein in 10 oz, so I use them once a day too.

I also drink at least one non-fat decaf latte a day!
Unfortunately chocolate and chips still appeal to me so I have to steer CLEAR of them!!
Next week I'm seeing a dietician in the hopes that she will give me some ideas!!
You're not alone!
I figure it will pass, so I just take it one day at a time...
Deb - I certainly can identify with you. Sorry you're having trouble.
I'm nearly 6 months out and cannot eat beef in any form...severe pain and nausea.
I still don't tolerate eggs very well, unless it's one or two bites only. Instant nausea. Definitely not hard boiled or scrambled.
Rice makes me violently ill. Pasta sits like a rock.
Any kind of snack cracker kills me. Chips likewise. Bread is semi-ok, especially whole wheat white by Sara Lee.
I can do all dairy things, all cheeses, milk, yogurt, cottage cheese, pudding. I can do very small amts of peanut butter. Chicken, tuna, pork are OK in very small quantities (literally 3 or 4 bites max).
Some of the wonderful things I can eat: chocolate,
low fat ice cream, tapioca. I can even eat 1/2 slice of pizza if I go really slow.
Fruit makes me have liquid diarrhea in 2 hrs. So does shrimp and most seafood. Forget about salad.
My surgeon says most things level out by 9 months. I hope you get some good guidance from the dietician.
Most folks I know who have had surgery can eat most anything, although in very small quantities by one year.
Cheers! Our time WILL come!
