Surgery Scheduled...

My Bariatric surgeon called me about 10 minutes ago. He is scheduling me for Monday the 20th to have my gallbladder removed. He was quit upset with the fact that the on-call surgeon at the emergency room did not remove it at that time. Not that Dr. Ku doesn't want to do it, but it was wrong to send me home when they could have taken it out. He said to try clear fluids all week and he is scheduling me for Monday and I will receive a call on when it will be. I am so glad this is being taken care of. Let me tell you this is NOT FUN! Erin...blessings and love coming all the way from Sunny California...Did your doctor put you on gall bladder meds...mine did...so far so good...I understand it prevents you from forming stones...I am sorry you are having to go through this...take care and we are all praying for you...on the brigher side...clear liquids...hmmm you will lose more weight...take care and again we are here for you... Erin, Although surgery is surgery, this surgery is a breeze compared to what we have been through. I only drank clear liquids the day before and then nothing for 12 hours to drink b4 which left me dehydrated. You will be fine, i promise...and I can actually eat more since my gullbladder is gone. Erin~ I hope all goes well with your surgery on the 20th! Who knows, I might be following in your footsteps with this one lol..first the kidney stones and now for me possibly gallbladder troubles. GRRRRR..I hope you get to feeling better soon!

Only a few more days to deal with that pesky gallbladder. My son mailed the box today, so you'll have a whole new wardrobe to wear when you heal. He didn't tell me how much yet - but we can wait until you get back. Don't worry about it now. JUST GET BETTER! Cheryl
