well i posted my 4 mo out pics on my profile. I just went and viewed them ,i think i still look fat...........what is going on? everyone is like you look great,yeah right............62lbs gone and why cant i see it? well that about it im just depressed lol...............thanks vickie r.

Are you kidding?? You do look great! Try putting a before & after side by side, that helps me! Plus, my friend told me this, It's hard for the mind to keep up with the mirror! I see a big difference in your photos & you have got to feel better!!!! I know I do!! Hugz, Gina L 260/188/160

You look terrific! I know sometimes we can't see it in ourselves, but there has been a dramatic change in your appearance. Congratulations! I think it may just take a while for your head to catch up to your body. Carol

Hi- I am a lurker around here, but I had to post on your comments. I can totally see a difference, even with your 1 month picture your tummy is smaller! And you look like a new person in your most recent pictures! What I did for my pictures was to stand in a door frame, that way each time I take picutures, I can compare on the door frame. Congratulations, you are doing great!

Vickie, You are looking great! Really! You're probably still looking at what you think you see instead of what you really see. I think we all do that to a certain extent. I am now definitely able to see my own progress, but it took a while. Cheryl

There is a really big difference from the pre-surgery pics and now! You look great, but I know exactly how you feel. I feel good in some ways, lots of ways actually, but when I see a pic of myself I tend to focus on that tummy. I hope someday I am truly happy with myself. Marcia Lap RNY 10/27/05 251/181/130

Isn't it bizarre that we are the last ones to see it?? Hopefully some day the brain will catch up with the rest of the body!

Vicki, I really do see a difference and you look good. I guess it's hard for us to be objective about ourselves....we're used to sending negatives messages to ourselves so I understand why it's hard for you to see the difference in yourself. Believe me, it's there and you do look good! Fran
