OT: Hsyterectomy did not go well.

Hello everyone, I am just now home from the hospital. Doc removed my uterus vaginally and then when he went in to cauterize the blood vessels he saw what he thought was a hematoma. So he tried to go in just below my belly button for a better look. He couldnt getin that way because of the scar tissue from my gatric bypass and my tubal so he ended up making the bikini cut(about 8 inches). Well there was no hematoma only a staple line from the WLS. Better to be safe than sorry and I am happy that he checked everything out. However, I had the most horrible nurses while I was in the hospital and they did nothing as far as pain management went. It took my husband coming up yesterday afternoon and yelling at this one particularily awful nurse to call my gyno before i could get anything from them. Then after the doc left she started the same crap a couple of hours later when the drugs started to wear off. I swear this was the most awful experience I have ever had in a hospital.
