Do you find that people treat you differently? Definitely (stepping up on soapbox)I had my evaluation here at work yesterday & my director said "I am so proud of you. You look so different than when I started here & you look so professional. You're always so careful to make sure that your hair and makeup and nails look nice & your clothing is so professional." I said okay, I need to stop you right there, because this is a real sore spot with me. I know you mean this as a compliment, but I am the same person I was 4 months ago, there is just less of me! I can tell you that 4 mos ago if there were me & Wendy standing at the front desk, 9 out of 10 people would have asked her for info, and totally ignored me! Of course he tried to back out of it then, but I stood up for myself & told him that Fat kids can be professional too! I don't think my hair, nails, makeup have changed that much & my clothes have only becasue I have had to get new ones!!! (okay, stepping down off soapbox now!)
Do you look at heavy people and want to tell them about gastric bypass? Definitely, but I hold back unless they ask for info
