What do you think of Curves?
I posted this question on the main board, but wanted to do it here too. I was thinking about joining Curves and want to hear your opinions, good or bad. The other board responses were that it gets boring after awhile and it's not challenging enough unless you have not been in an exercise program for awhile.
Thoughts?
Thanks,

I love curves. I have been going since I was 4 weeks out. My first month I lost 16.75 inches and second I lost 12 inches. I may get boring. But I did no exercise for so long I couldn't possibly go to a gym , YMCA> and work out like I hear some say everyday. Curves has let me become active and my cost is 29dollars a month. I can go everyday if I want but they recommend 3 times a week. I am 45 years old and it does seem geared to us middle aged women but there are some young girls there also. I don't know if they all are but the one I go to plays all music. They even have a workout that is Christian based music. I love it but then again I was riding around Wal Mart in a cart before my surgery, bad back. Now I don't stop. Good Luck

I was a member of Curves last year, for about nine months. I enjoyed it at first but then got bored (same routine and music). I also stopped losing inches, bulked up and gained about 20lbs..they said it was muscle but I just didn't buy it. My mom has been going for about 3 years now and she isn't overweight but I can see that she has bulked up from it..but she enjoys going.
I guess it just depends on what you like. It's a good upbeat place where you can meet other women who are trying to get into shape.
Take care!
Hi Lori
I have been doing Curves for a little over a year and love it. What is great about it is the different ages and sizes of women that go it's not like a gym where most people are buff and just there to stay looking perfect. All the ladies at my Curves are so positive and upbeat it's just a nice comfortable atmoshere.
