I was just curious if anyone is supplementing these and how much you are taking. My surgeon is really indifferent, so I'm not sure how much I should be taking. Just wanted to see if any of you had any suggestions. Shelly

As long as they keep us healthy, I'd take a ton more! I'm so pleased with this journey, that a few pills isn't any big deal, ms shelly!

Thanks Rachel! I am currently taking sublingual B2 but wanted to make sure I was taking enough, so I was curious what amount all of you were taking. Shelly

Ya know, everyone talks of how you HAVE to take the Sublinquil B12 or shots, but my surgeon only requires we take the regular vitamin pill form, 500 mcg/day. I take 1000 mcg/day sometimes. I've had my B12 blood test done twice and it's been completely normal so far. I would be afraid of overdoing it if I took as much as some of y'all do. I also take biotin, 2000 mcg/day and a B-complex pill too.

YOU CAN'T OVERDO B-12, MS ANGEL ... WHAT YOUR BODY DOESN'T USE, YOU RELEASE IN YOUR URINE. THE REASON EVERYONE IS SO HIGH ON SUBLINGUAL, LIQUID, SHOTS, ETC, IS BECAUSE W/ PILL FORM, IT HAS TO GO THROUGH YOUR DIGESTION PROCESS & YOU ONLY GET ABOUT 2-5% OF THE BENEFITS. WITH THE SUBLINGUAL & LIQUIDS, IT ABSORBS RIGHT INTO YOUR BLOOD STREAM & YOU CAN BENEFIT UPWARDS OF 98% ... MUCH BETTER SINCE WE HAVE MALABSORBTION ISSUES FROM OUR SURGERY. B-12 IS IMPARITIVE FOR ENERGY, HEALTHY CELL BUILDING & TO SUPPORT A HEALTHY NERVOUS SYSTEM. SO, IT'S REALLY IMPORTANT. IF YOUR LABS ARE COMING BACK NORMAL, THEN YOUR BODY DOESN'T NEED THE LARGE DOSES OF B-12. I'M HAVING MAJOR EXHAUSTION ISSUES (COULD BE BECAUSE I ALSO HAVE A HEART CONDITION) & IF I TAKE LESS THAN 5,000 mcg A DAY, MY ENERGY PLUMMETS WITHIN JUST A COUPLE DAYS. I JUST TRIED DECREASING IT A COUPLE WEEKS AGO & THOUGHT I WAS GONNA DROP OVER. THE TRICK IS TO REMEMBER THAT EACH OF US IS DIFFERENT ... WE ALL NEED THE BASIC NUTRIENT BUILDING BLOCKS, BUT NOT IN THE SAME AMOUNTS. YOUR LABS & YOUR OVERALL WELL BEING WILL BE THE TEST OF IF YOU'RE GETTING THE RIGHT AMOUNTS. "LISTEN" TO YOUR BODY; PAY ATTENTION TO HOW YOU FEEL. YOU MAY BE WITHIN GOOD LIMITS ON YOUR LABS, BUT YOU MAY BE SOMEONE WHO NEEDS A LITTLE LESS OR A LITTLE MORE OF A PARTICULAR NUTRIENT DUE TO UNDERLYING MEDICAL CONDITION. GOD BLESS DAWN & NICK

Hi Shelly, I take 1000mcg of B12 a day in sublingual form, and 2000mcg of Biotin a day. I found a great Biotin from SwansonVitamins.com that are also sublingual lozenges. I love the B12 dots from them too, they're tiny. I know it's all confusing, especially if you don't get input from your surgeon. But that's what we're all here for! My labs were great by the way.
