I saw my PCP for my second round of lab work - she is actually more through than my surgeon. Anyway my liver enzymes are still up. The plan is to check them again in 2 weeks if still up then we will do an ultrasound to see if that will give us an answer. Anyone else sharing my experience? Ann

I would go to your primary Dr ASAP to get blood work. My WLS program mandates bloodwork every 3 months. During my first panel we found that my dosage of thyriod medicine needed to be lowered and everything else (malobsorption indicators) were fine. My next blood work is scheduled for April.

A WLS FRIEND OF MINE HAD ELEVATED LIVER ENZYMES & THEY NEARLY SCARED HER TO DEATH ABOUT WHAT IT "COULD" BE. TURNED OUT THAT SHE NEEDED ALL HER MEDS READJUSTED, MOST OF THEM IN WEAKER DOSAGES OR LESS TIMES A DAY. ONCE THEY GOT ALL THE MEDS ADJUSTED, HER LEVELS CAME BACK INTO NORMAL RANGE. EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE THEIR PRESCRIBED MEDS READJUSTED EVERY SO OFTEN. AS OUR BODIES CHANGE, WE USUALLY NEED LESS & LESS ... SOMETIMES ENDING IN GETTING OFF MEDS ALL TOGETHER. I'M OFF 5 OR 6 MEDS THAT I'LL NEVER HAVE TO TAKE AGAIN, THANK GOD & WLS! GOD BLESS DAWN & NICK
