I've been dropping weight like crazy lately too, but I haven't been eating much more. I think we all pass that point where the body is catching up and it starts falling off again! I've been dropping about a pound or two a DAY for the past 6 days or so! I love it! Let's hope it lasts for a while!!

About all I can eat are nuts, cheese and berries... I've become a squirrel I think. Well I DO eat tuna on lettuce and today I had half of a BLT on a low-carb wrap, that was a BIG deal for me. So I'm getting better! But have no fear, I make sure I get in my protein. I supplement with 2 or 3 shakes a day!

Vi, It sounds like you're doing great. I lost 4lbs this week and that makes my total 67# since surgery. I feel grateful because I haven't hit a stall yet. I've lost something every single week. I know it will come at some point but I'm enjoying the journey now. It boogles my mind to think that I only have 33 more to go to reach 100lbs. off. After that I'd like to lose another 50 and that will put me at my goal. My surgeon hasn't really set a goal for me but he says I'm doing fine, right on track. I work with a woman who had the surgery and she lost about 350lbs. She's now getting ready for plastic surgery to remove all the excess skin. We are going to exercise together. I'm doing 2 days a week at the fitness center my employer created for all of us so I'd like to increase it 1 or 2 days. Anyway, we are all doing so great and I wouldn't trade this for anything. Before surgery, I truely never thought I'd ever lose any weight again. I just saw myself gaining and gaining. I am blessed. Fran

Wow, congrats on the weight loss, and the ability to eat a eg sandwitch! You're doing awesome! I STILL can't eat any bread, I had such a craving for a grilled cheese sandwich (provalone on sourdough) and made one this weekend. It took me a whole day to recover Although, I have discoved something that could be considered "bad" that sits well with me. TacoBell crunchy tacos! They chew up to almost nothing, and they taste sooo good! But one taco totally satifies me, whereas before surgery I could down a six-pack of them One day....I'll have a sandwich too, that's my dream... ~Nonna

Nonna...try toasting the bread to crunchy...it goes down better then soft bread...I got the whole wheat from Cosco...a good bread...low in calories and high in fiber..boy was that a yummy dinner...toast vs. regular bread, see how it works... Dennis

You are losing at a rapid rate. At my last post-op my dietican said that I was losing too much weight based on my starting weight of 229 day of 10/10/05 surgery. However, I have continued to lose about 1-3 lbs a WEEK. Definately not per day. I do notice that if I don't drink my 64oz of water the scale reads lower. I have also been weight lifting and we all know that muscle weighs more than fat. Just be careful and make sure you are getting your water, nutrients, & vitamins. Bread and rice are still very hard for me to eat. I do toast a slice of bread when I am in the mood for a sandwhich. Otherwise, I don't touch the stuff - it really hurts. I don't experience much dumping but I have also worked hard at making the correct food choices. WLS is my second chance for a healthier and athletic lifestyle.
