Got Milk?
I just wanted to tell you guys that a couple of weeks ago I increased my intake of skim milk from once a day to 2-3 times a day and I've been losing steadily ever since. In fact I haven't lost this consistently since soon after the surgery. It helps that I love milk and I get tired of water sometimes and it's got a good amount of protein and is filling...and NO I don't work for the milk council lol. Try it, I'd love to know if it works for anyone else.

Funny you should mention that. My hospital room mate, who had surgery the same day as I and by the same Doctor is losing weight faster than I. I asked her what she did and she said she drinks a lot of skim milk which is how she gets her protein in. So I increased my protein shakes and my milk. I've also been eating some sugar-free/fat-free pudding each night. I'm hoping it helps.

Louise, I'm drinking milk regularly too; it never gives me any tummy trouble, and it's loaded with protein and calcium, two things we need lots of. I don't know if it's making me lose weight any faster; my weight loss has been slow and steady. I've averaged 2.9 lbs per week (including that initial burst of weight immediately after surgery. The past month or so, my average weekly weight loss is 1.5 - 2 lbs. Maybe the milk is helping.
I also like to have cereal for breakfast, with milk; I go for the high protein cereals like Go Lean.

Have y'all tried hood carb countdown milk beverage? It comes in white, chocolate & fat-free (tastes like skim) but has lots fewer carbs ... & the fat-free has no fat, of course. It's great tasting as well.
YOU CAN GET IT AT WAL*MART, PUBLIX OR JUST ABOUT ANY GROCERY STORE NOW. HAVE IT IN HALF GALLON ... CAN'T FIND IT IN A GALLON JUG.
GOD BLESS DAWN & NICK
