Question.? No yelling allowed
I enjoy a couple drinks on Sat night when I go sing Karaoke. I tried wine...and it did nothing but give me a headache...then i tried scotch and water...nothing..then bacardi and water..still did nothing. Last night I tried Yukon and water and not even a slight buzz..and of course no barfing or feeling sick either. What could be going on??? Any thoughts?? and yes I know Im not sposed to drink.

Hmm..your surgeon says not to drink? I was released to diet soft drinks AND alcohol at 6 weeks.
I am not sure why it is not affecting you. We were told at our seminar that one drink USUALLY hits you like 3 after RNY.
It is, however, added calories that you don't need. If it no longer gives you a buzz, then I would avoid it and just have diet soda or water.

I had a glass of wine last weekend and another last night and they didnt touch me at all- it took a LONG time to finish, maybe that had something to do with it??? I was never a big drinker so I really expected to feel it, but nothing... Hard telling why, nothing else has been the same, guess this wont be either!

I drink wine once in awhile, plus I had at least 1 glass/day during my dad's shivah. 1 glass and I'm dancing on the table, babbling like an idiot drunk. I usually just take 1/2 glass and drink VERY VERY slowly. I haven't tried beer or mixed drinks yet. I'm not much of a drinker unless it's in a group setting, which isn't very often.
If you don't get the fun drunk part, I'd just skip the whole thing entirely. It's not worth the calories. If, however, you find a drink that takes you to that fun happy stupid drunk place, have fun and drink up!
