Help with cals/ carbs and protein PLEASE?
I Posted on the main board....
Hi folks,
I am having some confusion as a baby post-op... I am 3 months out and wanting to know how many calories, carbs and protein I should get in a day.
I took in a little less than 700 cals. yesterday. My nutritionist mentioned that I get in 700 cals- 1000. Anyway, I really need some help with the numbers if anyone can advise me. I have been on a stall for over 2 weeks now but I have lost 60lbs in 3 months.
TYIA for your help!

P.S I am having a hard time eating.... I just do not want to?
I'm just curious, what do you eat to keep your carbs below 35??
I wasn't able to eat most carbs until recently and I still got about 80 grams of carbs a day (between fruits and veggies and the few things I could eat)!
I would love to avoid carbs more, but they seem to be in everything, even the protein drinks/bars (especially when made with milk). I found that on the days that I was able to get in about 100 grams of protein, I had about 80 grams of carbs and that was without being able to eat most of them!
You should ask your surgeon and nutritionist what's best for you.
My surgeon told me I should be getting 1200 - 1500 calories, at least 60 g of protein and 64 oz of water. The nutritionist told me to get 1/3 of my calories from fat and to balance out carbs (starch v. non-starch) and get 1/3 of my calories from carbs. So far I'm meeting the proportions and the basic goals with the exception of calories (which are roughly 1000 a day on average). I use fitday.com to track everything.
Also, sometimes you need to eat to lose. If you are getting too few calories in your body doesn't want to let go of fat.
Wish you all the best!
