Question for all the seasoned travelers?
Vi,
I would advise non-stop. It doesn't cost that much more and you're right about wandering around a strange airport. Plus, if for some reason your original flight should arrive late, you may not connect with the second flight. And, most important for me, it's more convenient and less hassle to just go non-stop. I've gone from Indiana to Las vegas non-stop and it's really not too bad. The time passes pretty quickly.

I'm going to chime in with the chorus! Non-stop is the best! No layovers. You can always get up and walk around and should do so every hour or so if possible (to avoid blood clots).
I've flown a lot including to Latin America (Buenos Aires Argentina - 13 hours non-stop, 18 hours if you stop over in Miami) both ways - with a layover and without. Non-stop is best.
Have a great trip!! Hopefully you're so skinny now you won't have any problems with being cumfy in the seats (and no seatbelt extensions! woo hoo!)!

I'm going May 26th, so I have almost 4 months to drop more weight and I am sooooo excited about it being the first time in my life that I can ride a plane and not be spilling over into the next seat! I hadn't needed a seat belt extender yet, BUT that's probably because I hadn't been on a plane in 12 years!! I avoided it! Now I'm soooo eager to get on one!
BTW, I have a history of a blood clot, so I will definitely take your advice and get up a lot!
I'D LOVE TO GO WITH VI & SEE EVERYTHING IN THE VALLEY AGAIN. WHEN I LEFT IN DEC 95, MODESTO JUST GOT IT'S 1st 24-HOUR WAL*MART &, I THINK THERE WAS 1 PHARMACY THAT STAYED OPEN 24 AS WELL. THAT'S HOW FAR BACK IN TIME I WAS ... STARBUCKS? WHAT WAS THAT?
AREN'T THEY THE COOLEST DOGS ... SHE'S PART WEINER DOG AS WELL SO A LITTLE LOWER TO THE GROUND, BUT SMART & SOOOOOOOO ACTIVE.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, MS JILL ... I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW MUCH I LOVE MY NICK ... THIS IS THE WAY A MARRIAGE SHOULD BE. HE LOVES ME UNCONDITIONALLY AS I DO HIM, & WE'RE INSEPARABLE. BOTH COMING FROM ABUSIVE, COLD 30-YEAR MARRIAGES, WE ARE MAKING UP FOR LOST TIME & FEEL SO BLESSED FOR EACH MINUTE WE HAVE TO SHARE WITH ONE ANOTHER.
YEAH, I'D NEVER MAKE IT IN POLITICS, WOULD I?
GOD BLESS DAWN & NICK
