Question for all the seasoned travelers?
Hi Dawn
I'm going strictly for FUN!! I'll be celebrating my 41st birthday while I'm there and I decided to help Jill celebrate her 40th too.
Unfortunately it looks like I'm going to have to fly into Oakland because Sacramento doesn't have non-stop flights from NY and I really want to fly non-stop!
It'll be my first time to CA and I can't wait AND I'm going to meet a lot of the Cali girls while I'm there, so I'm very excited! (Also looking forward to being SMALLER and being COZY in those little airline seats!)

THAT IS WONDERFUL, MS VI!!!!!! ENJOY! ENJOY! ENJOY!
SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT THE NO SAC NON-STOPS. YUP, I WOULDN'T WANT TO GET ON & OFF THE PLANE, & RUN TO THE NEXT CONNECTION, OR SIT FOR HOURS ON END WAITING FOR MY NEXT CONNECTION. NON-STOP IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO.
YOU'LL HAVE TO POST FROM CA & HELP US "MEET" ALL OUR CA WLS BUDDIES!!!!!!!!!!
GOD BLESS DAWN & NICK
If you can, book early and take a non-stop flight. It's easier and you can just get comfortable and relax. You can get there faster too!! 6 hours isn't so bad. I flew from NY to Vegas in 6 hours it wasn't bad and I didn't feel like I needed to stretch my legs at all. Have a great trip!!! We are going on a cruise in May and I can't wait!! My flight is already booked for that and I got a pretty good deal for booking early.
I flew to Cali last year and I found that I needed a break - being the big girl that I am since I was crunched into a seat with 2 people on either side of me. The pilot never took the seatbelt sign off so there was no getting up to walk around. the neat thing about stopping in a city you've never been to is that you can walk in the shops - and they do have great ones in some airports and check out things about the city that you would not have a chance to see at any other time. hope this helps and have a great trip!
