I have lost 47 pounds in 12 weeks and it feels as though that is not enough. I have had the scales removed from my room so I won't weigh anymore. I have up'd the protein(what little I can consume) up'd the water, and the exercise. Do I just wait and weigh in a couple of weeks?? Am I doing ok, anyone else not losing fast? I have noticed that most are up to over 60 pounds..

Yesterday was 13 weeks for me and I always tell the total I've lost, 57 lbs., but 12 of that was in the two weeks prior to surgery and I've only lost 45 lbs. in the past 13 weeks (2 tenths of a lb. this week). So, you're doing better than me. I know I'm doing everything right. I did add weights recently, so maybe I'm gaining muscle. Anyway, just try to find good things everyday. The energy you have, or the way your clothes fit you better. Don't focus on the scale moving so slowly. Oh, when I saw that I had only lost .2 lbs. this week, I went back over the past month and I had still lost 14 lbs. So, it is coming off. Good luck! Marcia 251/194/130

Well my surgery was 2 days before yours and I have only lost 54 pounds and the part that is bugging me is for the past 2 weeks I been trying to get to 199 and I just keep going back and forth from 201.5 to 200.5 I have been fighting with this stupid pound for 2 weeks. I totally understand the protei thing I do good to get 45 g in and 48 oz of fluids so you are not alone. Marcey 255/201/150

I have only lost 48 pounds since Oct 11th (15 weeks), but I try not to focus on that. Sure I would love to have lost more, but I figure it will come off eventually. I too am lucky if I get 45 grams of protein and 48 ozs of fluids a day. It is frustrating, but I do the best I can do.

I think that most of the people like myself , are losing alot more weight is because we weighed alot more than you did. I personally was almost 100 pds more than you. Hang in there it will come off, dont get discouraged..Your doing great!!!!! Sandy

Thank you guys! I guess I am feeling a little self absorbed and maybe I need to be thankful for what I have already lost. It is easy to get a little obsessed with this. For once I see that I am getting somewhere with the weight loss and maybe I am expecting too much too soon. I do admit that I am quite impatient! I am starting to feel a little better about this! Thanks so much!!!!!

Sweet Pea, Remember, the more you have to loose the faster you will loose in the begining. We do need to give our bodies some time to adjust. Bet you did not loose 47 lbs in 12 weeks before the surgery! According to my figures you want to loose 126 lbs so you are 37.5% of the way there. That is great, from what I've heard it take about a year to get to goal if you work hard and have less then 200 lbs to loose. So, at three months out you are already at 37.5% Sounds like you are doing really good. Keep up the good work. Mary L

YOU'RE ALMOST AT 50 #s MS SWEET PEA ... YOU SHOULD BE THRILLED! YOU'RE DOING JUST FINE. THE RATE OF YOUR LOSS HAS SO MANY FACTORS ... YOU'RE STAYING WITH THE EATING PROGRAM ... WHEN YOUR BODY IS ADJUSTED TO THE "NEW YOU", YOU'LL CONTINUE LOSING AGAIN. I LOVE WEIGHING EVERY DAY; OTHERS NEVER WANT TO SEE A SCALE. WEIGH WHEN YOU ARE COMFORTABLE DOING SO. DON'T SHUN THOSE LOST INCHES & SIZES ... IT'S NOT JUST POUNDS LOST ... IT'S THE WHOLE BODY & HEALTH CHANGING FOR THE BETTER. GOD BLESS DAWN & NICK
