WAS AT GNC GETTIN' MY CHEWABLE CALCIUM WHEN I NOTICED A BOTTLE OF PAPAYA ENZYME ON THE COUNTER. IT SAYS, "DIGESTIVE ENZYMES HELP EASE DIGESTION, RELEASE VITAL NUTRIENTS AND SUPPORT HEALTHY DIGESTIVE FUNCTION". THE PART ABOUT RELEASING VITAL NUTRIENTS INTERESTED ME. I GOT A BOTTLE TO SEE IF IT HAS ANY APPARENT EFFECT. ANYONE TRY THIS YET? GOD BLESS DAWN & NICK

I never have, but I was told once that papaya might be a natural treatment for the autoimmune disorder I have. Supposedly papaya is very good for you. I'm going to have to try it. Carol

WOW MS CAROL ... I DIDN'T REALIZE THAT IT HAD SUCH HEALTH BENEFITS. I WANTED TO TRY IT CUZ WHEN I EAT SOLID MEAT, IT FEELS LIKE IT SITS "HEAVY" IN MY THROAT & DOESN'T MOVE WELL. THEN, IT REALLY MAKES MY POUCH UNCOMFORTABLE, SO I THOUGHT THE ENZYME WOULD HELP BREAK THE MEAT DOWN EASIER. GOD BLESS DAWN & NICK

I heard that it's good to keep around if you get something stuck or are feeling like you had too big a bite. The papaya enzyme is like meat tenderizer. It will break down the lump of meat if you got it stuck. I don't think it happens instantly, but I think it might make it easier. I'd ask the doctor about it. I don't know if it's something I'd take on a regular basis without asking him about it. It might defeat the full feeling if it "digests" the food in your pouch. Y'know? Cheryl
