Ok, I don't want to jump the gun... but...
Vi,
Good for you! A pound lost is a pound lost. I hope your plateau is over. I have not tried any bread product since my surgery and I think I'm going to wait a while longer before I do. So far, I haven't had any trouble with the foods I've tried. Most of my trouble comes from not chewing enough and eating too fast. I have to really pay attention to how fast I eat. It's just learning a new way to eat and for the most part I do okay. This whole experience is exciting. I'm so glad I did this!

and that pot of gold is a half of a grilled cheese sandwich I have been able to eat 1/2 of an English Muffin or 1/4 of a grilled cheese sandwich for a while now without problem. I try to limit it, but it is very satisfying to be able to have something like that without ing it back up again.
The scale moved! Yahoo! Good deal. I'm glad you're having an encouraging day today.

That's great Vi! But I think you might have given me your episodes. This week has been awful for me. I ate something on Tuesday that didn't agree and couldn't eat or drink the rest of the day. Finally around 6:00pm and felt much better. Wednesday I could eat a little and drink ok. Thursday was like a pig feast! Friday (today) my stomach started bothering me again so I called the doctor. I have an appointment for Wednesday for another Upper GI and bloodwork. I really hate calling my surgeon because I know he thinks I'm not doing what I'm supposed to or I'm eating too much or I'm just paranoid. Anyways, hopefully Wednesday something will show up and explain this pain I'm having.
Hi Ann, I agree that it makes a big difference in our attitudes! Yesterday I ate 1/2 an english muffin for breakfast, about 1/3 of a south beach pizza for lunch and for dinner I had ONE wonton with broth and I felt almost human again! It's nice to not be afraid to eat anymore! I just need to stay away from popcorn now -- that became a staple for a while and I'm sooo afraid of succumbing to the carb monster!
I'm glad to hear you're doing better too! It's great to pass the "point of no return"!
