I feel like I am just the opposite. I am still losing although maybe slower than others (2-3 lbs. per week). I can eat soft foods very well. I can eat an entire yogurt, 6 oz. A cup of veggie soup is easy. If I add actual meat though it is hard to get in more than a 1/4 of a cup. But I can about 1/2 cup of shrimp no problem. I can eat almost an entire veggie burger and a slice of cheese (no bread). Bread, pasta & rice are currently a road block. I can eat a very (very) small amount. I pretty much am just avoiding them all together. Which I'm thinking is probably a good thing. I can eat crackers too with no issues. I have although put these away as I was starting to feel to much like snacking. Also, I really wish sweets would make me sick. Vickie, I'm sorry I couldn't say you are alone, but I am sure there are others just like both of us. -Dawn

Vickie, I also eat 1 and 2 ounces of food. I find that if I try to push myself to alway**** 3 oz I get sick. Sammie

I'm so glad to see, once again, that it's not just me! My hubby is freaking out, he's constantly on me to eat more than I am, but I honestly cant handle more! A bite here and there plus 3 protein shakes and I'm on the borderline of overfull all day long! I took a nap this morning, very uncommon, I have a 21 month old, and he wants me to call my surgeon because he thinks I'm not eating enough to keep me up during the day!! Ugh, glad I'm not alone, now if I can convince him I'm not dying, just sleepy today! Rebecca 227/168/130

Interesting.... I believe, in spite of my surgeon saying he makes everyone a approx 1oz pouch, that mine has always been larger. Later in the day I can eat a veggie burger and small side of broccoli/cheese. I eat slow, takes about 20 minutes, but I can eat that much. However in the morning I can't really eat at all so I generally drink something warm. My weight loss is slow but steady.

I think mine is larger too. I've always been able to eat with no problem. I never get hungry, but food never fills me up either. I'm going to ask my surgeon at my 3 mo. appt. if he makes some larger. Marcia 251/194/130

Hi Vickie, I'm one of those people that, about half the time, can eat approximately 2 to 4 oz. depending on what it is. I can eat 2 oz. of cheese with no problem. 2 oz. of meat is another thing. I have a hard time with poultry, fish and pork. 3 bites and I feel like I need to bring it back up. But I have no problem with a cream soup or pureed soup. I can do a cup in about 25 minutes. Which is how long it always takes me to eat my food, whether it be 1, 2, 3, 4 oz. or more. I usually can do 2 to 4 oz. each meal/snack of solid food it just depends on what kind of food it is. I have been consistently losing weight and am currently up to 65 lbs. in 14 weeks. I am usually taking in approximately 62 to 73 grams of protein and I try real hard to keep my fats under 45 a day. My calories usually fall in somewhere around 900 to 1100 depending on if I've eaten beef and how often, since it is the only meat I am able to eat just yet. I know we are told constantly not to compare because we are all different but I guess it is hard cause you want to see what everyone else is doing and if you could be doing something that will help speed the weight loss. I've had 2 plateaus so far that lasted about 8 to 12 days each. I just kept doing what I was doing and they broke and I continued to lose the weight. Hugs, Loretta
