Ok is it time for the slow down already???? I have been stuck now for no loss for almost 10days and in the last month, since 12/20/05 I've only lost 10lbs. I work out 4 days a week, I get all my protein but I average only 48 oz of liquid. Just wondering if anyone else is at a major slow down. Jane 296/234.5/goal 150

Don't worry, if you check out the posts alot of us are stalling. I've only lost 42 lbs total since Oct.7, you're doing great! When I get stuck I up my food intake a little for a couple days then I go a little less and that seems to work. I think our bodies get too used to the "diet" and we have to trick it back into losing. I'm at that point now too. Luck to us both! 215/173/125

Louise is right! Also, I know that not being able to get the water in is a big problem for me too and that does slow down my weight loss. Water is how we flush out the fat and the toxins so we need to get in lots of it and that's so hard for me right now. I read that even though they recommend 64 oz a day, you should drink HALF your weight in water....EEEK! That would be almost 140 oz for me and I can't do that now!! I used to do it before the surgery though. I can't wait till the day when I can drink that way again!

My surgeon says that loosing 2-3 pounds a week/8-12 a month is good. So I would say you are right in the middle of that, and thats not a bad thing! I know that we tend to loose more intially, but you are still loosing, you're doing great! Maybe try and up the liquid, that is supposed to be a big one in improving some loss.

I wouldn't worry too much, although that is easier said than done. I lost only 9 my second month and was pretty frustrated, to say the least. I'm now 2 weeks into my third month and am down 7.5, so I imagine this month will be better than the last - you never know! Brenda

Jane, Everyone is right, you are right along with most on this board. By the way we are re-birthday buddies YAYYYY. I myself lost 12 pre-op pounds, then 20 1st month, 10 second, and 11 the 3rd. You are doing fine. I struggle every day with protein and liquids. Melissa 241.5/188/goal-150
