Hi, I had RNY Oct 27 and I have lost roughly 55 lbs..I know if I got my booty to a gym and worked out a little it might fall off faster, but thats not happening right now lol. Good luck Elizabeth 267~212~140

Hey Barb and everyone! I'm down 56 from my surgery, I also thought it'd come off faster, but my surgeon says I'm doing great and face it- I would have probably gained 56 instead of lost if I hadn't done this! I'm happier about being in a size 14 than I am being this beautiful weight, though! Rebecca 227/171/130

Since my surgery 10/28/2005 I've lost a whopping total of 86 lbs. -- that's 25 lbs. pre-op and the rest post-op -- I go for my 3 month check up on 2/22/2006 -- I just saw my PCP on 1/2/2006 and I was afraid I had picked up a few pounds during the holidays, but I had actually lost 11 lbs. -- I'm pretty proud of myself.... Although I must admit I wi**** was coming off faster, I still have a big abdomen, of course not as big as it originally was, people tell me all the time they can see the weight loss, I can sometimes, and sometimes I cant, especially when I'm scaring myself in the mirror with no clothes on..... But I have noticed I'm able to walk much farther without getting out of breath, and now I'm going to start going to the gym and helping my tool along, just sitting around is boring, since the holidays are over and I've fully recovered, there is no excuse..... Thanks for this thread, have a great day.....wow its almost the weekend, and a three day one at that.....

Hi everybody! I had mine on Oct 28th and am down only 44 pounds. I'm a failure. It's not like me to talk like that -- I am usually very upbeat and positive -- i am still doing puree and can't tolerate things like chicken. Hard to believe. Sheryl

Oh please don't say you're a failure. 44 lbs. is super! Are you getting depressed? Still being on purees would depress me. You're doc won't let you try soft foods, or you just can't tolerate them yet? If you can, try some mashed potatoes or refried beans. I also liked no sugar added applesauce at that stage. When your appetite picks up more, you will probably start losing more - your body may be in starvation mode. Good luck! I hope you start feeling better about your success! Marcia 251/197/130

We are all of us GREAT SUCCESSES! I'm a "slow" loser, down 37.5 lbs since surgery on 10/25. But hey, it's not a race; it's a lifetime commitment. I started out last June at 299 lbs, was down to 260 prior to surgery, at 222.5 now. I AM THRILLED WITH THESE RESULTS. I'm losing weight at a pace that is healthy for me, so that makes me happy. Maybe my hair won't fall out. You've lost double what I have - you're doing fabulous! Pat yourself on the back, and treat yourself to a massage this weekend. You deserve it, Barb. Best wishes, Sheryl

76 lb for me. I do not have a digital scale, so i do not know half sizes. I have been on a stall most of the last month. It is driving me crazy. I stall for 1-2 weeks lose 2 lb then stall. Deb 392/316/180???

Hi Barb, I had my surgery on Oct 10 and I've lost 68 pounds since then. I'm on a stall right now and it's really annoying, but it's happened before and I know it will pick up soon. Congrats on your terrific loss! I know exactly how you feel about wanting it to be gone right away. We all just need to keep in mind that we never could've lost it this fast any other way. Carol
