3 Month postop visit

I can NOT believe it's been 3 months this week! I went for my postop visit today, it went really well. I've lost 54lbs from the morning of my surgery! I actually had to tell the nurse why I was there, she said she never would have guessed! I talked to the Dr about the nausea problems I'm having and he gave me a prescription for Phenergan and an order to have an endoscopy done- he wants to see if it could be a stenosis where my stomach and intestines meet. He said that could be causing the nausea, plus it may explain why I'm rarely hungry lately. All of my co-morbidities are gone, WOO HOO, and I'm doing great! Hope you all have good checkups this month, too!!! Rebecca

Wow, Rebecca, great weight loss and co-morbidities gone; that is just fabulous! Hopefully they can find the reason for your nausea, so you can enjoy your new self. Congratulations! Sheryl

Time sure does fly doesn't it!!! You are doing great!!! I was supposed to have my surgery on 10/14 but got moved up a day to 10/13, and as of this morning I've lost 54 lbs also!! What a coincidence huh? I don't see my surgeon again until next month. Isn't it neat to have a doctor's appt scheduled and not worry that you haven't lost any weight since you last saw him? That dawned on me today - another little thing that is different now. I used to dread seeing the doctor because I knew the scale wasn't going to move (down anyway)! Sounds like you are doing wonderfully - keep up the good work!!! Carol

Rebecca, I'm not sure what a stenosis is, but it doesn't sound good and I hope ypu don't have one. Great weight loss, though! That must've been really nice, not being recognized as a WLS patient. Keep up the great work, and I hope your endoscopy goes well. Sheryl 292/232/160
