I have a cold and feel like 10 kinds of sh*t today. My husband had it bad yesterday and spent it wrapped in a blanket in his lazyboy all day. I decided to sweat mine out, so I did 4 circuits at Curves (40 minutes), 50 minutes Nautilus weight training at the Y, and swam 1/2 mile (1/2 hour). I was just too tired to do the whole mile today.
Then I went to Walmart where I bought sugar free cough drops, day-quil, and 7 pairs of new undies as mine are falling off. I'm going to eat dinner and then go to bed early. I have 7 lbs to lose in 16 days.

WOOHOO!! Keep me motivated! I got up 45 mins. early today to start exercising...I've been so bad...but felt so good all day today after doing my elliptical machine this morning!! I also drank 20 oz. of water before my shower which is unheard of. I needed to boost my fluids.
I am going to get into the groove with the cardio and then work in the free weights.

First Off Erin - I didn't even recognize you! Your new picture is awesome. You look wonderful.
Thanks for the reminder about working out. It's sad. My gym is one floor below me at work and it's a 24/7 gym and I have not gone since before Christmas. I have every intention of going tomorrow and then Thursday. I am not here on Friday as I have my follow up but I hope to get there on Saturday. At least I will have gotten in 3 times this week. I must set a goal of at least 3 times a week and stick to it. I don't know why I don't go. Especially since once I go, I so love how I feel afterwards.
Thanks again!
Hugs,
Loretta
I started going to the gym at work last Thursday. The Marine Corps allows their civilian employees to use their gym facilities and even take classes or have a trainer evaluate and work out a plan for us. I did that Thursday, Friday and Monday. Yesterday, I decided to go to Curves just to see what I liked best, and I definitely like the regular USMC gym better.
My current workout is stretching, toning and treadmill. I do 20 minutes with a 5 minute cooldown on the treadmill. My goal is to do 2 miles in 20 minutes. On Monday, I managed to get 1 mile in 20 minutes -- but at least I'm moving! My heart rate stayed at the target rate 136 for the entire time and I'm really looking forward to improving.
Even if my accomplishment seems small to those who have been working out for a long time, I NEVER exercised before, not even walking. My knee joints dislocate if I move the wrong way and I have been afraid to get hurt. I look forward to 11:00 every single day now.
Movin' and losin!
