I shrank almost overnight!
Hello all,
The weirdest thing. After more than 2 weeks of staying at the same weight, I've lost 6 lbs in 4 days. But they must be magical lbs, because when I got dressed this morning, everything was big, even the new stuff. The size 22 and 24 jeans I bought since mid Dec are all falling off of me, and the tops, while very wearable 'cause the "girls" are a little bigger now too. Even my shoes and rings are fitting bigger today. I kept stepping out of my shoes. My feet shrank overnight. I wore those shoes yesterday with no problems.
I returned a bunch of Christmas presents today for store credit at Cato and Kohls. I bought 4 really cute shirts from cato that were all on clearance, and I bought 3 pr capris at Kohls, also on clearance. I bought 2 size 20's and a size 18! Me!!!! In a size 18!!!!! They weren't even 18's from the plus dept....they were 18's from the misses dept. I shopped and fit into "regular" clothing!!!! As if that weren't enough, I stopped by Supertarget on the way home to pick up sushi for dinner (OMG it was sooo good, but the carbs will keep me working out for hours tomorrow). Anyway, I caught a glimpse of someone in a security monitor and it took me a momment to realize it was me! In the mirror I'm still a hippo. I know I'm shrinking because all my clothes are getting too big, but I don't see it. I wasn't looking for the loss today, so when I saw it up on the monitor, it blew me away.
I still want to make my weight goal of being less than 225 by 1/25. I only have 7 more lbs to lose, but if I don't make it, this "shrink" is a nice consolation prize. These 6 magical lbs have put me at 20.55% loss of body weight in 12 weeks. My surgeons goal for me is 177, and I'm already more than halfway there! My 3 month appt is the 20th and I can't wait to show off!
I took more after pics yesterday, but my hair looks like crap. I haven't gotten it cut since August, just in case I started to lose it. I'm not losing any more than usual yet, so I'm getting it cut and highlighted on Thursday. Then I'll take more pics then and actually post them so you can see the difference. My hair looks so fugly right now, you wouldn't be able to see the weight loss because you'd be too busy laughing at the poor pathetic dry stringy hair.

60 lbs gone forever!
Deb,
I'm the exact opposite...I've lost most of my weight from the waist down. Thus the 18's and 20's in pants and the 22/24's in shirts. I'm now in complete agreement with my MIL and I keep hoping that this time, my boobs will shrink, but so far nothing. I'm planning a reduction and lift when this is "over", but I wish they'd just start shrinking now, so my body would even out some. I hate being so top heavy.

Erin,
A girl just can't catch a break. I finally make some headway into your lead, and you go and lose another 4 lbs on me! Oh the agony! I to the master!
There's no way you won't be 215 by Florida. You have 1 month, and the way you're losing, you'll probably hit that in less than 2 weeks! Heck, now that you've gone back to the gym, you'll probably lose it in one!
All I ask is that you just think think of me slaving away for 3+ hours/day at the gym while you and your super-metabolism are relaxing in the tanning booth.
Keep up the good work!

I am sorry Sheryl,
In a way I feel like I am throwing it in your face, but I am trying not to. I get excited when I lose, can't help it....lol
Everyone loses at a different rate, so don't worry. PLus you are so much healthier than me....I have no muscle tone or energy.
I also will probably stall out ( knock on wood ) and you will fly past me...lol.

Keep throwing it my face, girl! You are doing fabulously and I have no problems with you! I do, however, plan on catching up to you at some point...LOL!
You said you needed motivation, so what's wrong with a little friendly weight loss "competition"? It'll certainly motivate you to stay ahead of me, and it will motivate me to keep up with your stellar losses!
I don't begrudge you, or anyone here, happiness over weight lost. I feel exactly the same way when the scale moves for me. I'm pretty sure when I hit onederland, I'm going to have an ******ic moment.
Keep on losing!
