Hi all, Just wanted to get some more ideas on protein. Here are some of the things that I eat: Yougurt I can eat a 6oz. container, no problem. Peanut butter - low fat refried beans - Need to add less cheese though Cheese sticks shrimp - 6grams of protein per ounce Lentil soup cottage cheese carb countdown milk - ok I don't eat this but it has protein in it. I was eating lowfat cream cheese but have decided the calories aren't worth it. scrambled eggs I have been eating some protein bars, but I'm wondering if they have too many calories & fat for the amount of protein they have. One idea I found was when eating soups & stews to remove the bigger pieces of potatoe. They are really just filler and don't help us any. Does anyone have some other foods? I'm getting bored. I am looking for higher protein than calories. It seems like a lot of the protein foods on my list are very high in calories and I haven't been really good about eating very much meat. At least not enough of it to count the protein I'm getting. I can't eat tuna fish at all, it makes me

I can barely stand food these days, so I can't help much , but I can tell you that what I eat to get my protein in is a chocolate mint shake by Dymatize Elite. I make it with lactaid milk and frozen berries and it's actually yummy (most of the time) to me, the girl that hates all food. Made with any kind of milk, it gives you 30 grams of protein so I have 2 of them a day, sometimes 3. Other than that I have deli sliced cheese and deli sliced 97% fat free ham. Lately I started having cottage cheese mixed with fresh fruit (I hate the cottage doubles, they are TOO sweet). I seem to love fresh fruits and veggies still, thank goodness. Sometimes I'll have chili or I'll get a salad from a salad bar with cucumbers, a little lettuce, feta cheese and some beans. Not a lot of protein in there, so I try to add more cheese. On occasion I'll have a carb countdown soup, but I don't eat enough to get much protein out of them. I'm just looking for ways to like FOOD again! A problem I never thought I'd have... oh and I love tortilla chips, no problem there though... go figure... I also tried the protein bars, but they were WAY too high in sugar (the good ones) and the other's were like eating cardboard. I've heard people eat turkey jerky too. I don't like it and it was too tough for me, but other's seem to do well with it. Good luck and if you find any good answers, pass them along! Vi
