New to the message boards..
Hi Cathy!
Welcome to the Oct board! I'm sorry you hurt your back, I have a bad back and I know it totally sucks. I'm glad you're feeling better now.
My doctor has me taking a Theragram M vitamin 2x/day, 1 150 mg elemental iron pill (not rx, but kept behind the pharmacy counter) daily at noon, 800-1000 mg of calcium citrate +D/day (1/2 in morning,1/2 before bed), 500 mcg of B12 in morning, and ursodiol (generic for actigall) 2x/day to prevent gall stones from forming.
Post often and I look forward to knowing you better.

Cathy,
I am fairly new to the board also.My surgery was 10/11/05. Everyone is right, every doctor is different. I am followed up by a nutrition doctor and nurtitionalist. I was told to take a multiple vitamin and mineral, B12, folic acid and calcium citrate. I had my first blood work up and all my levels were good, so I guess I am doing something right. It is important to have the blood work done, from speaking with others, sometimes their levels are good sometimes they are low. You should find out when you will get your first blood work up then you will know where you stand.
Good luck, hope to take to you again soon.
