Erin,
I have only 2 1/2 weeks left to lose another 11 lbs to make my goal of being less than 225 when I go to Disney. I'm trying my hardest, but I just don't know if I can do it. I'm losing soooo slowly...only like 2 lbs/week.
I'm allergic to tanning booths, so I'm going to be lily white and burn my @ss of while we're down there. UV rays and I just don't get along. I tried on a bunch of my shorts that were too tight this past summer. I thought I would be able to wear them, but they are all huge. I think I'm going to have to pick up a couple of pair from WalMart when we get there. I do have a few pairs of capri's I just bought that I can wear, and I have a bathing suit ready to go. I think I'm going to take some of my old shorts and capris, and wash and dry them on hot and see if they shrink enough for me to wear them. Some of them are dry clean only, but if they get ruined, it's not like I was ever going to wear them again anyway.
There's a gala one night at the conference we're going to and the lead singer from Bad Company is performing. I'm trying on all my old dressy clothes to see if I can wear some size 24's one last time. 1 dress still has the tags from Von Maur on it. It's a little big, but I have to wear it once, right?
My husband called earlier and said they just advertised a deal where you get a 2 day pass to Universal for $99 and 1 child's 2 day pass for free. He bought them so I can take Alex to Universal while he's "working". I'm also taking Alex to SeaWorld. We had originally planned to skip Universal, but when I told my husband that Alex and I were going to spend at least 1 day at the outlet malls, he thought $99 would be cheaper. He knows me too well. I'm still going to the HSN outlet store...it's the only one I cared about anyway. They used to have one in Chicago and I miss it.
Okay....enough blathering....I gotta get ready to go to Curves. I ate 1 bowl of oatmeal, 2 oz roast beef, 1 whole wheat tortilla, a piece of lowfat swiss and a 1 cup of mixed nuts (still in shell) already today. I might need to do an extra circuit. I didn't go to the Y today because my son doesn't have school on Friday's. Gotta lose 11 lbs. Gotta lose 11 lbs. Gotta lose 11 lbs!

I'm taking my kids to Orlando in late February. Where did you find that deal from Universal? Or are you talking Disney in California?
I'll be the other white one at Disney...I'm a redhead so don't tan. But I'll be wearing a lot of my "small" clothes! Some of my small clothes have gotten big so fast (or I've gotten small so fast), I didn't manage to wear them again before they got too large to wear. I put on a skirt to wear to a party, and it just about fell off me.
My husband gave me gift certificates to our local outlet mall, I'm going clothes shopping before our trip.

You can find the offer on Universal Studios/Orlando website. You have to purchase the tickets online, and it's 1 free childs (ages 3-9) 2 day pass with every adult 2 day pass purchased for $99. Plus if you get your tickets now, they give you an extra 3 days admission for free, so we're really getting 5 day passes, but we will only need them for the 2 days, since we're going to SeaWorld on the third and last day of the convention before we move over to the Disney resort for our "real" family vacation. We have 2 non-expiring passes to Disney with 1 day left on them, but John won't let me take Alex to Disney until he can be there. He's really excited (he just turned 4, but he is 43 1/2 inches tall so he can ride a lot of stuff most 4 yr olds cant (if he wants to). But he really has no idea what's in store. 2 days at Universal, 1 day at SeaWorld, and 3 days at the Disney parks, plus he gets to sleep in a Toy Story room and have dinner with Mickey and friends at Chef Mickeys. I know we're spoiling him, but you can only have 1 first trip to Orlando.

Erin,
I love the new pic. You look beautiful, and not like a whale at all
I know what you mean though. I'm going on a cruise next month and I really wish I'd had this surgery several months earlier. Oh well, I'm still down a lot of weight since my surgery date. Congratulations on your success. We will all do this together.
