PORK & LAMB???
Hi, I am usually a lurker on the boards cuz living in Germany I am not usually on during the times that most of yall are. I saw your post and no red meat for one year!! I would be starved to death without it, lol. My doctor here in Germany had us on liquids for 3 weeks then no restrictions except for what our stomachs could tolerate. I have eaten steak, pork, not tried lamb, and pork rinds are way to dry for me to get down. Chicken and turkey which were my staples before surgery just do not go down for me at all, so I exist on steak and seafood. It is interesting to see how different everyone's surgeons are.

I have not tried pork but I have had lamb. THe lamb worked really well since it was marinated and very tender - it was delicious. Pork skins have a lot of protein but beware of the fat - my dietician told me to beware of pork skins because they are so easy to eat we tend to overeat so I stay away now but if you do... do it in moderation!! good luck!
