Can not believe it, I am finally out of the plus sizes. I have worn a 3x, 26w-28w for the last 35years or longer. I had received some gift cards for Wal-Mart from some of the girls I work with and I needed some more slacks as the ones I had were getting real baggy. I tried on the smallest plus size 20W and it was still baggy, so I went to the regular department and tried on 16/18. I was suprised it fit. I was so happy, I tried some tops in 16/18. I bought two pairs of pants and two shirts, the tops did not look quite right so I tried on a new bra, then the tops looked good. So I got two bra's. I guess it was my day to buy pairs. I started this journey at 306lbs, I am now down to 215lbs. My next goal is to be under 200lbs. I notice most of the post are for problems, I thought I would share some of the good that has come with this surgery. Please post your successes to date. Mary L

I like to hear other people's problems, it helps me to know that I'm normal. I haven't been out shopping yet, but most of my 3x stuff is getting really big on me. I've lost 52 lbs since surgery and had lost about 80 prior to surgery (over 5 years though) so the biggest thrill for me is that where I once had a BMI of 60, now it's 40. That made me very happy! I also reached my goal of being UNDER 300 by the end of the year (for the first time in 18 years). So even with the problems, I think the WLS journey is definitely worth it! HUGS, Vi

I've lost 71 pounds so far, and it's coming off really fast right now I also have a pair of size 26 tailored dress pants that I've been trying on periodically. 2 weeks ago I could button them, but not zip them. I just tried them on after I saw your post, and.... I can zip them now!!! I still can't wear them because they're too tight, but it won't be long now. On the day of my surgery I was busting out of a size 32. This has been a great couple of months. Carol

MY biggest thing is being able to walk again. I used to use the electric cart at Wal-Mart and would be out of breath just walking in the door. Saturday I walked 1.5 miles to a shopping cecter rested a little while and walked home. Before surgury I could not even walk the 2 blocks to McDonald's now I can do 3 miles. WOW!! Also I have dropped from a 34W to a 26/28 W. When I was a 34W I had to buy my cloths out of cataloges because even large womens stores like Lane Bryant did not carry that size in the store. Now I can pick up cloths almost anywhere. Walmart even has 26/28W. Thank you lord for granting me this tool. Deb 392/320/180

Gotta love success I started my WLS journey at 267lbs..not the highest I've been which was 278, I'm almost 10 weeks post op, had my surgery Oct 27...I"ve lost almost 50 lbs but I'm having a problem getting the last 2-3 lbs off to hit that mark, but it's all good...I can now wear a size 18 and they are quickly getting baggy on me, I started out wearing a 24/26 and I can wear some of my little sisters (shes 13) xl shirts..its awesome...I have more energy to keep up with my 2 yr now too..which is one of the biggest reasons I had this surgery...for my son, to make sure his mommy would be around to raise him and so I could have fun with him. GOod luck to all. Elizabeth

It's so wonderful to read everyone's successes. Let's all keep up the good work. We've come a long way since October. I feel like a different person. I'm not depressed any more. I don't eat indiscriminately. I walk with a bounce in my step. I sat in the bathtub on New Years Eve!!! Now that was a big deal. I haven't had a bath in 10 years. I had to buy some clothes at the thrift store while we were on vacation last week. Everything was falling off of me. I'm wearing 14s now, and I weigh 175 pounds. The WOW moment was when my husband didn't recognize me! This journey is so amazing. This is simply the best thing I have ever done for myself and for my family. Happy 2006, Cheryl
