I have finally found a way to get in all of my protein..... Every morning I have a no sugar added hot chocolate made with skim milk and 2 scoops of beneprotein total protein 22. I drink two Profect protein drinks they are really not that good but they are only 2.7 oz so they go down in two quick drinks. They each have 25 grams of protein.. So the total each day with out counting any of the food I eat is 72 grams... I am not sure if anyone else is having a hard time getting all of the protein down but I know I was not getting enough in until I found the Profect drink. Like I said they are not that great but two quick drinks and they are gone. Hope everyone had a great Christmas.... 2 months out and 51 pounds gone forever!!!!!! Misty

Thanks Misty Since my surgery the toughest thing to date has been getting my daily protein (Doc says I should be pushing 100 g per day). I'm lucky to manage 25-30g with food. Supplements have been terrible and milk products (dairy, lactose-free, soy and rice) don't sit very well (or very long). I think I'll try the Profect drinks you mentioned (the small volume sounds good). Keep up the good work! Mike 10/5/05 RNY open 380/305

I got my order of Profect last week. It's not the best tasting stuff, but it is the easiest way for me to get extra protein. I can usually get around 40-45g with food, so adding a 25g vial puts me in a good spot. The best part is that when I just don't feel like making a protein shake and having to wash my blender and a cup, the Profect is great. I'm going on a cruise in a month and plan to take one for each day I am gone. They seem great for travel. Brenda

I also have a hard time getting in my protien. What i do now is add chocolate protien powder {designer whey} to my coffee in the morning. I also make sure i have at least one smoothie later on. I just recieved the magic bullet for christmas and i make a smoothie with chocolate protien powder, half a banana, a few frozen berries, half a cup of skim milk and some ice. ITs great. SO at least with those two added to what i can consume during the say thats an automatic 40 grams of protien. As long as i cant taste the protien i am ok. I tried everything before the smoothie and i just couldnt drink it. Congrats on the 51 pounds lost. I am also 2 mths out and im down 48! Had my surgery on Halloween...LisaMarie

If I mix the Beneprotein before I warm it up it works better but yes it has lumped up on me before, I think I got it to hot. I found the Profect on their web site www.profect.com. Hope everyone is haveing a great day! Misty

Misty, You may want to try Stallone Pudding, you can get it at GNC. It comes in chocolate, banana creme, vanilla creme and lemon creme. It has 20 grams of protein and 100 calories. I like the chocolate but my favorite is the banana creme. This has been one thing I can eat for breakfast. Since surgery, 10/11/05 I can no longer eat eggs. If you like the stallone pudding you can order it on line at Netrition.com. I'm down 55 lbs since surgery. Happy New Year! Mary L
