Do you hate food too??? I eat because I feel "hungry" then I get full with a couple of bites, and my pouch 90% of the time feels uncomfortable, too full with just a few bites. I don't enjoy eating anymore. I eat cause I have to. I used to "live to eat" now I "eat to live" I see others eating and I think to myself, I can't remember eating so much? It looks like everyone eats so much. Foods no fun anymore.

I know what you mean about others, I notice how gross everyone seems. What amazes me the most is how little we really need to eat. I too often find I eat because it's time to, very rarely do I really feel hungry. Can't say I hate food, but the love affair has definitly diminished! Good luck

Ok Ok..I don't hate food. I'm mad at food, cause I can't have it like before, and yes it grosses me out to see everyone eating so much, I feel terrible saying it.

I only hate food when I am fighting head hunger which is alot because I am home alone all day long and used to eat when I was lonely or bored. I moved to a new area 2 years ago and still dont know many people here to keep me busy

I totally understand.... Went out to dinner last night with husband and son, I was done eating and ready to go while they stuffed their face. Food is not fun and I am kinda worried what the holidays will bring. All of the food that is around and family that will have thousands of questions about your surgery.... Misty

I used to love food so much. I thought of food constantly. My life revolved around food. Now, I forget to eat sometimes. I enjoyed my dinner last night. I had shrimp ****tail. They were small, so I was able to eat 8 shrimp. I savored every bite. My husband ate about 20 shrimp and I was shocked to realize that I probably would have done exactly the same thing before surgery. I watch my co-workers eating lunch. I nibble at something small and get full, and they have 3 course meals. I can't believe I used to eat so much. That's what grosses me out more -- not what they're eating, but that I used to eat that way. Food isn't fun anymore, but that's what got us this way in the first place. Cheryl

Isn't it incredible how our perspectives have changed so much in such a short time? It was interesting to read other people's responses to this post. Yes, I find I am astonished at what people can and do put in their mouths. The thought of all that food is just revolting. I do enjoy some food now...just not very much at one time! Sheryl

Eating is now a chore. Something I HAVE to do to get in my protein. Don't want to loose all my hair and not be healthy. Sometimes the first 1-3 bites taste good, but then the pleasure is over. It is tough right now because even though I've lost 40 lbs in 8 weeks, it isn't all that obvious. Yet eating is difficult most of the time. Guess we are in that limbo period before we start seeing the actual rewards. Kathy
