Sometimes I miss!!!!!!!!!!!
I hate to bring this up and I guess I'm bringing it up because I've been in the dumps lately but.................I sure do miss chicken wings!! I passed by a place today and smelled the air and it was wonderful!!!!!!!!
I also miss being able to eat and drink.
I miss not having to chew, chew, chew and sip, sip, sip..........
I miss having a more flexible menu............
But I sure do appreciate these 35 pounds off too.............
Oh well...............what do you miss???
I just felt like starting a convo because I'm bored.........

I know exactly how you feel about those wings. My Lt. was eating them at work the other day, and I wanted to steal the container off of his desk and go hide in my office with them lol. The worst one for me is still soda though. I have been going crazy wanting one. Everything else I can at least sample a bit of or find a substitution for, but soda is the one thing I can't have at all and it's killing me. I'm hoping that I'll get over it soon. The reward is worth the sacrifice though. I've lost 60 pounds and I'm lovin it.

Isnt it weird, though, the things that make one of us sick are the things another of us can still have with no problems? Seems like it'd be more even, you know??
I miss being able to take normal bites and drinks of stuff, too- that's probably the biggest thing for me! I can eat (and drink) anything I want except for things made with milk, but this nibbling is SO annoying!
I miss cereal! Ooh, Apple Jacks and Fruity Pebbles and Raisin Bran! I really miss Japanese food, too, I may be able to have it someday, but I really want the rice, that was always my favorite part!!
Oh well, guess we'll all just get used to this eventually! Not like it's worth it in the end, right??

Keke,
I'm not sure if you are able to eat salad yet, but TGI Fridays has a grilled buffalo chicken salad on their Atkins approved menu. It's not the same thing as chicken wings, but it might be close. I haven't had it, so I don't know if it's good or not.
I miss drinking with meals. I miss not having to chew my food a million times before swallowing. I miss long cold gulps of water when I'm thirsty. I miss not being FREEZING all the time.

Oh go****hink we all miss not having a more flexible menu! I sure do agree with you. I feel like I eat the same 5 things over and over again. A while back, someone posted that they felt they were turning into cottage cheese, and that's how I feel.
I miss diet Pepsi! I really do! And I miss sushi; so many people have posted about trouble with rice, that I've been afraid to try it. I miss having toast for breakfast.
Strangely enough, I haven't missed coffee. I had my first cup of coffee the other day, though, and it was really really good (I got Starbucks, and I think it was the holiday roast, which has this wonderful spicy taste to it; it was a nonfat decaf latte so I got lots of protein and calcium from all that milk.)
I miss eating the treats people are making for the holidays, including cookies made by my children & their nanny.
I miss planning social events that are centered around food. Yesterday I turned down an invitation to a 4-couple New Year's multi-course dinner, because I felt that was not a good environment for me: too food-focused. And wine-focused.
I miss having warm feet. My feet are so cold in bed, sometimes it takes me an hour or two to feel fully warmed up.
But like you, Keke, and many others, I don't miss those pounds I've lost! 66 lbs since last June; 27 of those pounds lost since RNY.
Listen....up...you can have sushi. with no rice...you can have flat diet soda, after it sits for a few days,ha ha...what good is that...and you don't need fruit pebbles, they are for kids...we are now adults...and you can go to the buffet and eat a kid's meal...also you are now considered a cheap date...and saving money for clothes...also I gulp my water, with no problem...it will not stretch your pouchie...it goes right through...don't forget it gets better better and better...look where we are today, compared to a few months ago...and we are doing awesome...and better then that...each day...so lets say it OCtober people, we ROCK...LOVE DENNIS,
