I don't see why you couldn't at this point. Like you said, your incisions are healed now. That's something I'm soooo looking forward to. I'm still over 300 right now and it's just not something I can do yet. It's been years since I could just soak in a tub with my scented candles burning. It's one of my absolute favorite things to do and I can't wait to do it again. I say fill up that tub and enjoy. Carol

As soon as your incisions are healed over and you feel like you can get out of the tub without hurting yourself. Go for it. I got in the tub at 4 weeks.

I was told just 4 weeks, but it seems like different doctors have different opinions on this issue, too! I agree, if your incisions are healed go for it! Rebecca

As soon as my incision was completely closed I dove into that tub! Taking baths while reading a good book is one of my favorite things in the world to do... I would say go for it, unless you were told differently/time period to wait!

My doctor had me wait just 1 week to bathe (but I waited 10 days) and had me back in the pool after my 12 day post op visit. I thought I'd have to wait for weeks until my scabs came off. He told me the pool would actually be good for my incisions in case they needed to drain (they never did). Since I'm freezing all the time I take long hot baths almost everyday. I also sit in a hottub after my water aerobics class and lapswim. Sheryl 292/250/1??

If they would have had a tub at the hospital, apparently I would have been able to take a bath then. I did not find out I was able to bathe until I was 2 weeks out and my incision had opened up. They told me it would be good to help it heal. Jenn 264.8/229.5/1??
