HI all, I am very much a lurker but am on here every day reading your post and knowing your faces. today I just had to post my 6 week news. I have had people who know I have had surgery say they thought I should be losing more by now since I am very much a heavyweight and that has hurt but I know it will happen. I started out at 357 day of surgery and as of this morning my 6 week mark I weigh 325!! 32 pounds gone forever. I haven't weighed this in about 6 years and it is gone in 6 weeks. I also measured and have lost 33.5 inches. I am so happy with this and hope to keep going with all of you. Thank you for all the encouragement you give us lurkers even though you don't see us often. PS-- KeKe thank you for getting me moving Jennifer

That's AWESOME, congratulations! As for the comments, remember that we all lose at different rates and everyone's bodies are different. I know you know that, but it's always good to hear sometimes, I think. Just focus on how much you've lost, both in pounds AND inches, and on how much healthier you are already! You're doing great, keep it up!!! Rebecca

Jennifer- I agree completely with you! I am 6 weeks out and have lost about 37 pounds. I started at 323 and am now at 286. My physicians assistant implied that I should have lost more than 25 pounds the first month - really made me feel bad after that appointment. But talked with my friends and family and feel better. I know I wouldn't have been down even 5 pounds without the surgery! Keep positive and think of every pound as one pound closer to goal! Hang in there, we're here for you!

You're doing great Jennifer. I can't believe how many inches you've lost! That is really amazing. Keep it up and you'll be at goal before you know it! Don't let people's negative comments get you down. As long as you're happy with the changes you're making and seeing in yourself, that's really all that matters. Congratulations on your loss so far, and best wishes on the rest of your wls journey! Carol
