I like to order 1/2 sandwitch and soup, I either order grilled cheese or some times tukey, then just eat the meat and tomato. I also order broiled fish and stir fry veg's I ask them to cook the veg well.

Hey Vickie- I too have dabbled in fast food since my surgery and it's kind of been trial and error. Wendy's chili actually works very well for me- I actually had more trouble with their bacon & cheese baked potato! McDonalds & Wendys now both have yogurt w/ granola & fruit which also works well. Boston Market has great food for post-WLS people too- mashed potatoes, chicken, turkey, and their new steak is really good too. I have been able to eat some stuff from Taco Bell as well- pintos & cheese, soft taco, even the nachos supreme- all the gunk on them makes the chips really soft!

I've eaten out a few times, I've tried the fish sandwich from Burger King, not so bad but I realllllly wanted to eat it normal, bread and all... it was maybe about 5 small bites but it went down ok. I tried the chicken tenders but had issues with them. I lean towards a bowl of soup at other places. Chicken salad sandwich, eating just the insides and not the bread. Everyone is SO different! Vickie remember some surgeons don't allow red meat for a year. There must be reason for it. So that could be the case, or it might have been to spicy. I always aske for chicken at restaurants. Celia
