So what's making YOU puke?

How's everyone doing? I miss posting now that I'm back to work (message boards are all blocked at work ) and back into my busy schedule. But I get on here at night or early in the morning to try and catch up on the posts! I have a question for all of you; not the most pleasant topic but I had to ask... I've vomited 4 times in the past 2 weeks and I'm still trying to figure out if I ate too fast or I ate the wrong thing. Or maybe I ate too fast? Or a combination of things? So I was curious to hear what the rest of you have gotten "sick" on and whether it was what you ate or how you ate it or both? The first time I lost it was on chicken (a very small piece that I ate too fast). The 2nd time was a piece of cheese and a bite of watermelon... again either I ate too fast or it could have been that the little bit of rice I had eaten earlier in the day (thanksgiving) was swelling up in the grouchy pouch. Third time was chicken and rice and I decided I need to stay away from RICE! That was the worst one so far, but I know I ate way too fast that time. I was enjoying that food so much that I forgot myself and the size of my lil pouch!! The FOURTH time was a bite of meatloaf and a bite of mashed sweet potato. Don't know what went wrong there unless again I might have eaten too fast and not taken small enough bites. It's so hard when that food tastes so good and I just want to get it in there!! I really have to remind myself to slow it down and puking is a good reminder!! But other than that, I've had no problem tolerating beef or chicken and salads seem to go down really nice too. I'm happy that I can finally eat somewhat "normal" again and I'm not limited to 3 or 4 items on the menu anymore! And my energy is back to normal. I've been able to get to the gym at least 4 or 5 times a week and the weight is coming off again, slow but steady. So I'm happy. Still no regrets, even the night I sat with my kids wishing I could eat the way they were (right before I ran to puke). So how's everyone else? Anyone ever hear from Lady D? I saw she updated her profile, but she never responded to my email so I was wondering if anyone else heard from her? Vi

Hey Vi, I have come to the conclusion when it comes to meat like chicken or hamburger, I throw up for the fact of like you said eating to fast or just not chewing enough. I still need to work on retraining my eating habits. Marcey

Hi Vi There is no normality for my eating. Meat is just not happening. It doesn't matter how I eat it fix it chew it or time it. I am still eating a lot of soup and yogurt and my protein shake. I have gotten the dry heaves from flavored teas. I too have to regrets. I am sure the meat will happen. I am not allowed salad for 3 months. I am really wanting that. I don't know if I should pu**** But either way I am content with my eating habits. Even though they are short of normal. Had to buy some new clothes. Just a pair of jeans. When I picked my girls up from school my one daughter, I have twins, Hugged me and said I looked so pretty, and hot. I had a pair of dress boots on. All they ever see me in is gym shoes jeans, and really ugly big shirts. Just thought I'd share. Made me day, great wow moment Jane

Vi~ I am making myself puke. I have thrown up 3 times, only one time had food in it. My hunger returned about 2 weeks ago and on those 3 occassions I have let myself get too hungry and then ate too fast. Then I PRAY to puke. Up comes the saliva and foamies. Then either the food goes up or down and other than a little tenderness in my throat, i feel much better. Jenn 264.8/232.8/1??

That saliva and those foamies are a trip huh?? Fortunately for me, it all comes out on it's own and pretty easy, so there's never any soreness afterwards, I just have to be patient!!

hi there...i have puked basically on heavier things like meat..or one time took one bite too many...sometimes hard to tell for me i feel full yet i get nervous because i cant eat like i should be and am scared im not getting the proper nutrients so ill try one more bite...i dont take latge ones as i eat off a baby spoon so that helps alot in that respect..alot of things just dont seem to agree with me ..some days i can eat something and its good to go will try it the next day and out it comes..makes no sense..the only things that seem to not give me a hard time are scrambled eggs with some cream cheese in them ,yogurt, cottage cheese,sf puddings, and peanut butter on those little wheat thin crackers and then 4 is the max i can handle sometimes only 3...i have no real desire to eat ever i have to make myself go and do it..so i just suppliment with protein powder in my milk so i at least have some peace of mind that im getting nutrients... hugs lynda
