Today was my 6 week visit. It was very informative. I met with the dietician who thinks I am doing very well but wants me to get in more food. My doc is very strict and had a coronary when I told him I had a piece of whole grain bread with peanutbutter today. HE SAID DONT TELL ME ANYMORE!! LOL I was dying. He wants me to stay clear of bread completely for 6 months. I will do the best I can to follow what is best for me but hey, I am human and if I didnt struggle..I wouldnt of went to the drastic measures of this surgery...right? I have lost 35 pounds in 6 weeks and he was very happy. Said not too much, not too little. I also told him I was worried because when I get my protein in, I get afraid of too many calories. He told me if the calories are comin from protein not to worry about it. SOOOOOOO I will try not to worry. I guess old habits die hard. She also gave me some sample injury. I had vanilla tonight. I dunno if I liked it or not. I didnt dump it out of me so I guess thats a good thing. We are goin to GNC this weekend to get some Isopure. I hope I like that. Til then I'll just keep on pluggin along...and how was your day?

Hi Deb.... I'm glad all went well...I didn't like the premade bottles of protein...they were too sugary, I mixed them with water and they were ok.

You are doing great! We have the same surgery date and I have lost 30 lbs in the same 6 weeks. I'm at 305 now and DYING to see a "2" at the beginning of my weight for the first time in about 17 years!! My goal was to see that by Christmas and it's so nice to finally know we can accomplish those goals that used to elude us before the surgery! You keep doing what you are doing. As for the bread, I'm lucky that any kind of bread I eat does NOT sit well with me! I couldn't even take my multigrain bread, so I don't eat any bread at all.

Vi, Here's hoping you see the "2" soon! One of the places I weigh is on a medical scale at the Y. (yes I am a scale ***** and weigh myself at home and at my workouts, just to see if they match up). I'm in the middle of 252 and 253. I can't wait until I can move the scale notch to the the 200 mark instead of the 250 mark. Just a few more lbs. I've set small goals for myself and that is goal #3. The first was to get from super morbid obese to just morbid obese. Done. The second was to lose 10% of my body weight. Done. After I meet my third goal, my next goal is 225, which is what I weighed the day I had my son, then onto onederland. Sheryl 292/253/1??

Congrats on your weight loss so far. I like both the Isopure and the Unjury. I've never tried vanilla unjury. I just have the unflavored I add to foods, and the chocolate which is yummy. You can get flavor extracts in the spice isle (liquid extract) to add to the unjury to make it taste exactly how you want it. I like taking the unflavored, adding it to milk, then adding almond extract and a little bit of splenda. It's really yummy and I don't have to use the blender. I'm not so good with the cleanup. My husband does all the cleaning in our house. With 4 bad disks, I've thrown out my back while cleaning too many times to count. So now he just does all the cooking and cleaning. But as payback, he never puts the toilet seat down. Have a great night! Sheryl 292/253/1??
