I'm here CL...
Hi everybody!
I got an email from CL the other day wondering where I was (thanks for thinking of me!!!)...
I hope all of your Thanksgiving's went well. I had a great one! Sorry I haven't been around for a while...I have been doing a lot of lurking lately to make sure everyone was doing ok. I have been doing well, but I am a bit disappointed with my VERY slow weight loss. I lost 18 in the first two weeks and then for the past two weeks the scale has been going down VERY slowly (-.2, -.6, +.6, +.2, -.6...). I know it will come off...patience.
So far so good on the solids. I have only had a problem with ham. Anyone else??? I don't know what it is, but everytime I try to eat it, it gets stuc****ep my bottle of olive oil handy any time I eat something like that. It has been my life saver both times I got ham stuck. Oh well...I count myself fortunate to at least have the opportunity to try things like that. I know most dr.'s don't allow solids or meats of any kind at 4 weeks out.
I have to share a few things before I log off...I have found some excellent products that I enjoy...do with them what you will...Q-Smart Quaker snack bars-they have 10 g. of protein in one bar and 3 g. of impact carbs and are very good for breakfast...Brownberry Carb Counting Bread-4 g. of protein and 6 g. of impact carbs per slice (if you are allowed to eat bread)... the Rockin' Roll bar from bariatriceating.com-it's like a payday (the only drawback is how big it is-I usually split it in 2)... and the protein cookies from bariatricating.com-27 g. of protein per cookie!!! (again...split it in 2)-just warm them up in the microwave and it's like a little bit of heaven!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope all is going well for everyone! Keep up the good work!
Love and hugs!
Kristine
