I want a salad
I had a Ceasar salad from Boston Market and it was soooooo YUMMY!!! I didn't add the crotons and I only managed to eat about 1/4 of the salad before I felt that "full feeling" in my chest AND I cut it up so small that people thought I was eating COLE SLAW but it was GOOD and it went down well. It last me for 4 meals and I never had any problems from it! I'm thinking to try a chicken ceasar salad next time for more protein!
I love salad, salad, salad...my doctor says no no until about 3 months out...and that is with no iceberg lettuce...and start with a few veggie...I am amazed at how you guys are doing this...I guess us California people, have to wait and wait...I think my doctor treats us like a baby with a new tummy...but I have had no problems...upped my protein and water...and getting down protein, protein...had a bite of mashed taters tonight, yummy...so the food is ok...tomorrow I am going to broil a salmon fillet and see how that works...yummy...until Later...Dennis
Dennis,
I love broiled salmon and it's a staple on my "new" diet. The dietician was happy to hear it because she said the Omega fatty acids in salmon are great for you. She told me to eat it at least once a week for the rest of my life if possible.
Also, I had charbroiled red snapper the other day and it was soooo yummy. I also took some chef Paul Prudhomme blackened seafood magic and some Pam and made blackened talapia once, and have eaten grilled trout that I caught and froze on my fishing trip a few weeks before surgery. I am allowed to have red meat and chicken, but for some reason post surgery, I'm all about the fish.
I hope your salmon tatses yummy.

Well unknowingly I had about a 4 small pieces of lettuce bacon, almonds and ranch OMG was it ever good. But My doc SAID NO MORE! Lettuce isnt supposed to do well on the tummy. BUt it did mine i guess only because I had just a bite or 3 LOL. Hey what you can do is fix all the salad things you like just no lettuce maybe?
