At a Stand Still Already!!
Alright I am really getting depressed and starting to wonder what am I doing wrong? I went to the doctor on Nov 11 and had lost 26 pounds.Now here it is and it`s Nov28 and I haven`t lost anymore.I am having no problem about getting my water in and normally don`t have any problem gettingi n my protien everyday.I have been walking about 20 minutes day and I still haven`t seen no differnce.I`ve not been getting sick or having any pains in my belly.Is this normal to go that long without a loss?I could use some advice about right now.

Well this is a GREAT question for me to answer!
I had surgery on 10/25/2005. I lost 32 lbs in my first 2 weeks. After that I barely lost anything. 1 or 2 lbs a week if that. Well just THANKSGIVING DAY I started to lose again and fast. I am down now today 46 lbs in almost 5 weeks.
My problem was I got very dehydrated and was also not getting any calories in. Also, I could not poop. Well I forced fluids and started to eat and it came off.
Another thing is I can not do protein shakes nor powders. So my surgeon advised me to start eating regular food high in protein. Well it worked. I dropped 8 lbs last week and now my plateu is "UNSTUCK"!
This is normal hun. You will lose and stop and lose and stop. It should take you over a year to get to your goal weight. If you lose too fast, then something is wrong.

Meats!
I eat Chicken and Tuna. Lean Turkey and Beef.
I also eat Refried Beans, Low fat String Cheese, Fat Free Cottage Cheese, Dannon Fit and Light Yogurt.
I add Sour Cream ( Fat Free ) to alot of my stuff. Cheese also!
Hope this gives you some ideas.
I don't puree my food anymore, I just chew it until it almost dissolves.

Melissa...I was at a stand still for 17 days. My hub noticed i was still losing but the scale didnt..the darn thing. I finally got in the scale today and lost 2 pounds WOHOOOO my plateau is over and yours will be too. Hang in there girlie. 26 pounds is an enormous amount of weight to lose in a short period of time. THink of it as almost..3 10 pound bags of potatoes that your body..that was very comfortable with...lost it in 2 weeks. thats hugeeeeeeee....ur body has to catch up and your skin has to catch up too. Hang in there girlie..your gonna lose this week..ill betcha anything!
