B12 Question

Hi, I have a question about B12. My surgeon does not advocate B12 supplements, unless our labs indicate that we need it. Do all of you take additional B12 supplements? Thanks,

Yes I do I take it sublingual (under tongue) once a week

Thank you for answering. I've been thinking maybe I should take it anyway. I've been scaring myself reading about all the bad things that can happen if you become deficient.

I take 500 mcg a day! Celia- what dosage do you take?? I just switched to sublingual, much better than taking more pills!! Rebecca

I was told B 12 was a must!!!! It gives us energy and helps us keep our hair. I am all for that!! Deb

I take the shot once a month from my doctor. I was taking it prior to surgery and I'm going to continue taking it. I need all the help I can get because I really, really want to avoid loosing as much hair as possible. Plus I need it for energy and it helps me out! Keke

I have been taking B-12 since a weeks before my surgery and WalMart has it in liquid form in the vitamins... it is about 6 dollars but has lasted me over 5 weeks...I mix it with my sugar free orange juice and my Carnation instant drink .. It is made by Spring Valley and one dropperful is 1200mcg (it says to place under tongue but i dont ,and my levels are beautiful as of about 2 weeks ago.
