Finding the time?

Hi everyone! I was wondering how you are managing getting everything in that we should over the course of a day. I am eating 3 meals a day, plus a protein shake (3 3oz meals a day is not ever making it to 60g of protein or more!), and 64oz of water that I pretty much have to sip every second that I am not eating (except for 30 min. on either side of my meals). For those who had their surgeries a little before me - is it still an all-day job for you? I am relatively new to my area and will be looking for a job in January. I can't imagine working full time and dealing with preparing a high protein meal for lunch and getting in all my water and shakes. Is there a secret? Or can you drink a little faster further out that you don't have to sip every waking moment? I feel like I spend every minute thinking about sipping, or what to have for my next meal, or how much protein I have had today - it's making me a little ! Thanks, Brenda

It's hard with me. If I get my fluids in usually I don't get in my protein and if I get my protein I don't get my fluids. It's hard! I'm hoping that in time all of this will balance itself out before I go crazy. I go back to work tomorrow so I'm going to have to plan a little better in order to make myself eat and drink. Take care and have a good one! Keke

I am still having a hard time. I hardly ever get all of both in. I'm going back to work tomorrow so I'm hoping I can set some kind of schedule to get a reasonable amount in while I'm there. I find getting the pills in the hardest of all. They seem to fill me up and then I have trouble getting anything else in. Plus they seem to lay there and I feel lousy until they go through. Hang in there and good luck. I've heard it gets easier. Fran

Hi Fran, are you taking the chewables...vitamins...? it is easier that way or liquid form...My doctor suggested we take two flintstone with iron, chewables...then I have to take my pills so I won't get gallstones, two of those...I take one with a tablespoon of applesauce or yogart, as they are bitter...then first thing in the morning I take my pepsid...before eating anything, so I won't get an ulcer...fill up a jug with water that has at least 64 oz...and keep sipping all day at work or where ever you are...you can do this...just work it...and it does get easier...Dennis
