Hi there...people are asking for some support on what they eat? I think it would be a good idea to post your daily intake and we can also get some idea's on other's people daily menu. Yesterday...Breakfast, low fat lime yogart, 1/2 cup. Snack Protein Drink with a tablespoon of peanut butter mixed into it. Lunch, 2 tablespoons of crab egg foo young, and 1 small piece of salmon patty...Snack 2 tablespoons of stuffing, and 2 tablespoons of lowfat chive cottage cheese, Dinner....2 tablespoons of cottage cheese, two tablesoons of stuffing, and some spinich/cheese casserole...small amounts of all. Snack...sugar free lemon pudding. My doctor has said no red meat for 1 year, or chicken for at least 3-6 months, on his approval. Ground beef, on his approval at 3-6 months...I am seeing all the doctors are saying something different...I am going to try fruit next week...watermelon...take it slow and easy people....and if you dont' think it will work, don't do it..My doctor said treat your new pouch like a new baby's tummy....Take care and hope this helps...Get tha****er down... Today...Breakfast, Protein drink....water yes...and keep sipping..

Hi there...if you get at least 64 oz. of water minimum you will feel better, also it takes about 6 weeks for the energy level to come back...so take it easy and keep working this tool...putting Christmas Lights up, very slowwwwwwwwwwwwww...until later...Dennis finished my protein drink...30 oz. of water so far...

Oh my...my doctor says one of the foods not to be eaten is the orange? Not sure why...maybe because of the fiber stuff...hope you are just sucking the juice out of it and not eating the strings...each doctor is so different...but one of the real no no's was oranges? Wonder why? Dennis

My surgeon does not make his patients stay away from anything except for foods with high fat, are fried, or with a good amount of sugar or drinks with carbonation. He says that everything is trial and error, what one person tolerates another won't and if something doesn't sit well, you aren't ready for it. I haven't had any problems at all except with the protein drinks making my stomach upset and if I don't chew slowly enough, I get that "something is stuck" feeling and have gotten sick (3 times) - which wasn't from what I was eating, just from how I was eating. I am just over 5 weeks post-op, the first 10 days I was in the hospital. When I looked at what your surgeon says and then looked at what I am allowed: I had ground beef at 3 weeks post op, and chicken a few days later. I had 2 oz of steak for the first time last week.

Hi Sarah! We had surgery on the same day and our surgeons both have the same philosophy! What a coincidence! BTW, I have had the same experiences as you! Some protein drinks bother me so much now that I can't even look at them and I have gotten sick twice from having that "stuck" feeling, most likely because I didn't pay attention and ate too fast! Vi

Breakfast: 1/2 cup of eggs Lunch: 5 french fries and one nugget (yeah I know it was a bad choice. I stole it from my son but at least it was a few whereas in my past it would have been the entire lot) Dinner: 2 beef soft tacos with cheese (minus the tortilla) And I'm trying to drink, drink, drink. I go to the surgeon tomorrow.

yesterday b- one egg two pieces of bacon L- tuna salad with 3 crackers D- bbq chicken 60 ozs of water I need to up the water I am working on it. Right now I am allowed anything. My dr says as long as it is not deep fried or high in fat. It just blows my mind how diets vary so much by different drs. Take care Mary T
