Getting in more water...

I found the most wonderful SUGAR FREE hot apple cider mix today at Walmart so I had to share this tip with all of you who are struggling to get more water in (like me). I came home, boiled water and threw in a pouch of mix and drank about 10 oz in about 20 mins. That's a record for me! It has a nice flavor (for a change) and the warmth was so soothing (especially on this cold night)! I'm trying hard to get in more water. I drank about 10 oz before I went shopping today and another 28 oz while I was out, so I'm going to try and do another 20 oz before bed. Wish me luck, we can do this!!

That's a great idea, Vi. I'm going to get some SF hot cider mix. I'm SO not a water drinker. I am drinking a sugar free, fat free, decaf vanilla latte right now. I can sip warm drinks easier, I think. Most of the time during the day I dilute Ocean Spray Light Cran Grape half and half with water and ice and take that to work in a big travel cup. I think it's got 32 ounces in it. Sometimes I fini**** -- most times not. I drink broth at least once a day. I found that Crystal Light is too sweet now, so I might try diluting it some more. Good luck on getting your liquids in. Your success will inspire me. Cheryl

I know what you mean! I find anything sugar free to be too sweet now and when I dilute them, they taste yucky to me, but this hot apple cider hit the spot!

Thanks Vi I'll try that. I too struggle everyday. I can not do water. I am so sick of flavored water I could scream. For the last 2weeks I sip on warm decaf tea that really makes a diffrence. The warm stuff is just easier. I tried some of those flavored teas and they made me terrible sick. I checked the label no sugar of anykind but it was the worst vomitting I have done yet. It of course hit while I was driving. Thanks again, I am going to WM tomorrow. Jane

WOW sounds like you are super sensitive to sweetness. I'm lucky that they don't make me vomit, they just taste so GROSS to me! Good luck and make sure you dilute the hot apple cider so that it's not too sweet tasting for you! Vi

I don't like apple cider..too sweet for me..but I am finding that I really love my water......when I was thin I used to drink water 24/7 and now I am in love with water again...I got a Brita...till I can afford a reverse osmosis system and the water tastes great...I drink about a gallon a day...I like cold, cold water...I keep water with me all the time...I even set my alarm on my phone when am I done eating so I will remember when it is time to drink again...this really helps when you are eating with friends...I never seemed to remember exactly how long it had been since I had eaten...works for me!!!! We can do this!!!! Jenn

I was able to comfortably drink cold water about 10 days to 2 weeks after surgery. Before then it really hurt my stomach and made me not want to drink at all! I've read some people can drink it cold right away though. I had to have it at room temperature. Vi
