what I'm thankful for...
I'm thankful I got to see my family this weekend. I don't get to see them enough. I'm thankful to my mom and dad, who woke me up at 6 am to stand out in the cold this morning, so we could go to Cut Rate Toys Thanksgiving blowout, and then proceeded to buy my son hundreds (literally) of dollars in toys for his birthday (the 29th), Christmas, and Hannukah (I'm jewish and my husband is not).
I'm thankful to my brother and his wife, who got a late wedding gift of a Tanita Innerscan body composition monitor scale and seeing the look of naked envy in my face, gave it to me on the spot for my weight loss journey. It's the coolest scale I've ever seen and retails at Bed Bath and Beyond for $100!!!! All he asked for in return was for me to bake him some homemade pecan pies (my MIL gave me pie baking lessons for christmas one year and I am a champion baker).
I'm thankful that my son is overcoming his disabilities and thriving, although sometimes I want to kill him. I'm thankful that my husband loves me more after 13 years than he did after 1. I'm thankful that I live in America. I'm thankful that even though we lost our beloved cat Duke this year, we still have a dog and cat who love us unconditionally. I'm just thankful period.
What I'm not thankful for....getting up in 4 hours so we can get to all the black friday sales early. But I love shopping, so I'll get over it.
Hope you all have a good night and had a great Thanksgiving. For those of you braving the crowds in the wee hours of the morning. Good luck.
