Do you like Tofu. I have been hooked on that the last couple of days, I even found a thing called Gimme Lean, they make it in chop meat flavor so you can make burgers out of it or meatballs with some sauce and the sausage flavor i have that with my scrambled eggs, I but the Noysoy extra firm tofu and i eat it cold. Pastelles, mmmm i had a little of one last night, my husbands grandmother made them for us, it was soooooo good but it layed in my pouch for a bit. A little tummy ache but i had some hot tea and that took care of that. Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Mmmmm... the Gimme lean sounds yummy. I would love a meatball in sauce! I've had this craving for chicken parmesan so anything in sauce sounds good right now! I do like tofu, but I'm not much of a cook, but I'll have to buy some and figure out what to do with it! Thanks for the idea and thanks for the heads-up on my beloved pastelles! I'll have to go easy on them and see how it sits! I can't wait to have some! Happy Thanksgiving to you too! I was watching the parade this morning for a few minutes and I was telling the kids "I have a friend on the message board who lives near there"!

I'm glad the post helped you too! It's good to know I'm not the only one who's bored with her menu! Can't wait to have a taste of that pumpkin cheesecake that I made with the recipe from splenda.com! YUM! It looks good! HUGS, Vi

Hi there...you are doing great...just go slow...only about one month down...so I am really trying to stick with the soft foods, to give my pouch a time to heal...much better in the long run...I have my protein shake for breakfast...and turn my day around...sometimes an egg at night...whatever...I don't focus on food that much..and it works...Dennis

Isn't it wonderful to finally NOT have food be the main focus. I'm really enjoying that for the first time in my life! I feel like those "thin, picky eaters" who never seem too interested in eating! What a change!

Hey Vi, My first soft food was instant cream of wheat, the maple variety. and i still like it at almost a month out. the other thing i do for breakfast is Revival Soy Cappucino Comfort protien drink. after i mix it, i nuke it to warm it up. it's like a warm frappucino from starbucks and is very easy on the pouch in the AM, or anytime of day at all. hope this helps jan

I have the cappucino comfort shakes from Revival also, but I tried to warm it up the other day and it didn't taste very good to me. I also had too many clumps. Usually I blend in with ice and banana. I guess I got tired of them too for now. And I used to have a lot of cream of wheat, but maybe I'll try the maple one. I was hoping to find something with more protein, but I guess I could nibble on some cheese or something. What a bummer that all the good and convenient stuff is mostly carbs huh? Thanks for the suggestions!

I've been afraid to try the flavored Cream of Wheat packets because of the sugar in them. Are there SF flavored Cream of Wheats now? I hope I hope. I am just so bored with everything I eat. Cheryl

Cheryl, I'm using the regular instant cream of wheat. The maple flavor has 13g of sugar. My surgeon goes by the sweet 16 rule - you can eat anything that has 16g or less of sugar. i tend to be a late dumper, but i'm not having many problems with cream of wheat. jan
