Rice
It depends of what kind of rice. Plain rice cooked until it is fully expanded is okay. The thing that has given me trouble is when I eat fried rice from a chinese place or mexican rice. You eat until you are full and then it expands more in the pouch and makes you sick! Just like everything else, chew, chew, chew. The other thing is when you fill up with rice there isn't much room for protien.

Hi Jeremy,
I haven't tried rice yet, because I've heard some folks have trouble with it, as well as pasta and white bread. I think it's the "gooey" factor, these kinds of starchy foods can be rather gummy and can get stuck in your itty bitty new stomach.
I ate about 1 tbs of pasta last night, and had no trouble; however, it appears that tolerence is a very individual thing. Seems like your best bet is to try a very little bit, and see how it goes. If it goes OK, have a little bit more the next time.

Hi Jeremy-
Saw your post so I thought I'd try rice. It's on my approved list but hadn't given it a go until today. I had some rice and fish at lunch and was only able to eat half of it. Was going to finish the rest for supper and started eating it and threw up. Don't know if I ate too fast, but didn't think so. I chewed it well so don't know what the deal was as I had NO problems at lunch. Go figure. Hope you have better luck than me!
Later,
Nancy
