Does anyone eat pasta dishes? I was just wondering. I was thinking about making a seafood fettucine/linguini (shrimp, crab meat, crawfish, and velvta light cheese) and I was wondering if anyone has eaten pasta (lasanga, ziti, spaghetti, etc...). I would appreciate any and all replies and suggestions! Keke

Hi Keke, I have not tried it, but I am very curious too on if others at our stage have. I've been scared of trying it, thinking even if i chew it really well it might get stuck going through my pouch. I would LOVE some pasta though! ~Nonna

I have tried pasta a few times, 1/2 cup of spagetti went down good....however, 1 ravioli and noodles in chicken noodle soup did not settle as well. I guess it just depends.

HI, pasta is listed on my soft foods diet and I actually tried it 7 days post-op. I have done fine with it so far. I may try your receipe idea it sounds good. Also i found that Lean Cuisine (maybe the brand not sure) has a 5 cheese lasagna and I picked one up and got 4 meals out of it for only $1.75. The fat and protein and everything sounded fine. It was just a cottage cheese mixture, red sauce and flat noodles but it was good with a little light velvetta melted on it. Good luck, jennifer

Just be careful and chew like crazy. I got really sick on pasta several times but it was because it got stuck. Now when I have pasta I cut it up really small just like I do for my toddlers. As long as I do that, no problem. Hugs, Dawn

I will make sure I cut it up well because I don't want any unecessary problems! Thanks Dawn! Keva

I still haven't tried it, because it's high carbs...I bought some wheat pasta and will try it... I think it's better to avoid or eat in moderation because of the high carbs...that's what my Nutritionist says..

Yeah I've heard that too that's why all the seafood in it and cheese. I probably won't eat that much of the pasta. Keke

Hi Keke, I tried Barilla Pasta Plus in some soup the other day and did fine with it. It is made with extra protein which is a plus. It tastes a lot better than whole wheat pasta too! Good Luck! Sara,
