I was today at the YMCA! I did 1 hour water aerobics, 1 mile lap swim (cutting yesterdays time by 10 minutes!), 1.3 miles on the treadmill, and 5 minutes on the bike at 20mph. I bought some resistance bands so I thought I'd do some resistance training later on tonight. I'm really starting to enjoy exercising, and that is something I've never said in my whole life! And my happy meal yesterday must've jump started my body out of starvation mode, because I actually lost 1.5 lbs! Sheryl 292/257/1?? 35 lbs gone gone gone!!!!

I just got back from the gym... did my 45 minutes and I'm glad I went! It's cold tonight and I wasn't in the mood, but it's over now!

But you did it and that's the good thing!

Keke, Can we do light weight lifting at our stage? I'm kind of afraid cause my incisions are not completely healed yet and my surgeon said no lifting until at least 6 weeks out. I think I'm going to just do walking and wait to return to Curves until a few more weeks. Fran

I was told not to do any heavy lifting. I have some three pound weights that I do a few exercises with. I don't do anything major but enough simple repetitions to feel a little burn. Some of my weight loss is coming from my arms and I'm flapping in the wind so I'm trying to get a head start. But if you're not comfortable lifting then keep doing your walking and wait until you return to Curves. The most important thing is to keep moving!!! Thanks for posting! Keke
